The Thornlie — Restaurant in Western Australia

A group of friends organized a night at the Thornlie. We arrived at 7pm and left at 11pm when they closed. I didn't know there were so many variations on the humble chicken parmy. I had The Thornlie parmy, topped with bacon, chorizo, pepperoni, Napoli sauce and cheese and it came with a flavorsome salad and chips. Very nice meal. The rest of the crew had burgers wich they enjoyed. There was a band playing in the corner and dance floor which was used blissfully by the patrons of that night. The bar staff were friendly and curtious and not bad on the eye either. As the band was of kiwi origin i felt as though I was in New Zealand with the majority of the crowd in attendance being kiwi. A good night was had by all. It's a far cry now from its previous reputation years ago. Had a great night last night at The Thornlie went for dinner and the Quiz night. Dinner was awesome the meals were cooked well, freshly made and very well priced they had a curry special for $15.00 and it was delicious my husband had the garlic prawns and he was very pleasantly surprised by how many prawns he got and he said that the flavour was spot on. The quiz night is free to attend and the quiz master Terence made everyone feel so welcome and at ease. Terence made sure everyone understood how things were run and added lots of humour through out the night. I'm reviewing on behalf of a family dinner we had here tonight. I want to express my gratitude to all the staff on tonight as they went above and beyond to make sure we were happy. Unfortunately the gnocchi I ordered wasn't available - but the chef went out of her way to make a lovely veggie linguine dish for me, asking what I would like in it etc. As a vegetarian who's received my fair share of dining exclusion over the years, the effort was much appreciated!
