Everything was ok. Partner and I went for dinner on Friday night. We chose the $49PP deal for two which is excellent value and I recommend that choice for what you get. I follow Topi on Insta and the food looks amaze balls there and having returned home from London was expecting this hot looking little Karrinyup hot spot to ping, expecting better than what we had over in the UK. For us it didn’t live up to what I wanted it to be. Nothing bad to state it was just ok. We finished our plates and didn’t feel the need to say much to each other about it which is a shame. Service was decent, decor is nice… why am I talking about the decor not the food?
One thing am against was potentially getting charged for cancelling/rebooking. We didn’t cancel of course. However, life happens sometimes you have to cancel. If you book online you will know what I mean. Not cool with that Topi… we have been to Michelin Star restaurants that...
Read moreMy bhabi (sister in law) is Rajasthani which has made me rather spoilt and picky when it comes to Indian restaurants 😅. Thanks to a shout out from Brendan at Bumplings and the excellent reviews I decided to take a gamble, and I'm so glad I did. I can never resist pani puri's and they were delicious. I wished for more tamarind but I'm a fiend for sour. My main of choice was the palak paneer with mint parathas - well balanced with distinct spices highlighted (a wonderful change from the usual blanket masala), I loved the flavour of methi leaves and the lightly roasted cherry tomatoes. Definitely keen to come back next time I'm in Perth and work my way through the menu. The staff were also delightful, happy and helpful - which aside from being lovely, tells me they enjoy their workplace and management is on...
Read moreLiked the look and ambience of the place but the food was subpar. Ordered: pani puri: other places do this much better (and cheaper), it's all about the pani and this one didn't have much flavour. The puris also could have done with more filling. green chicken tikka: delicious and would recommend. palak paneer: below average in my opinion. Didn't have the creaminess and wasn't as flavourful. naan: looked good but tasted doughy and underdone peach and Mango lassi: whilst it was delicious, couldn't justify the price. Like how about serve the drink in a fancy cocktail glass and cut quantity but increase price?! Smart play but not cool! Overall - overpriced and superficial food with little essence :(. Would I come back?...
