Absolutely appalling
Don’t get me wrong, I actually really like zambrero although I do find their menu confusing. I have attended ascot zambrero drive through several times without issue. Friday night the 15th June I attended just before 7 pm. Although I was the only car in drive through I was asked to wait to order - which wasn’t a problem and it was only a few minutes. I ordered 2 power burritos with chicken and guacamole with chicken and a beef quesadilla. It did take a while but again, no issue, I was happy for someone else to do the cooking. When my food was ready I was charged $25.80, which didn’t seem right and I’d guessed that I’d been charged for a regular burrito. At the lights I checked the bag to find one burrito and no receipt - so I guessed that I only received and been charged for one burrito. Back to the store. There was a large group of girls dining in when I arrived but they had finished there meal and were leaving. There were 2 cars In The drive through. I walked in bag in hand with my 3 year old ( thinking already having a bag in hand was a sure sign that a mistake had been made requiring immediate attention) and this is where it all started to go really wrong. I was ignored. And ignored. When eventually acknowledged I explained the situation and was made another burrito. As I already had the quesadilla I have purchased for my little girl I sat her down to feed her as for a little one it was starting to get late - hence the take out in the first place. I order a quesadilla for the following reason - it’s toasted, and hard enough to be managed by a small child. This one was limp and had the consistency of a crepe. It was not toasted, it was warmed. I actually think there may have been a problem with the toaster as I saw it being lined with baking paper when I was in the drive through however no one mentioned this. I chose not to complain about the quesadilla as I really just wanted to get out and get home. We probably have take away only once a month and it’s reslly only on nights such as this for convenience when we’ve been out in the evening and want something quick. From arrival back at the restaurant it was 31 minutes until I received my food. NOT KIDDING!!! Was I timing them, actuall no, but my husband called just after I arrived so it was logged. Once back st home I toasted the untoasted quesadilla and unpacked our food. My own chicken burrito had no chicken it did have the guacamole so it was just a very expensive, poorly wrapped rice and salad wrap with foil wrapped into the inside of the food. Did I expect a fine dining experience? Of course not, but I would call this establishment cheap exactly with me 3 items coming to $40.70 but I did expect it to be at least adequate. I won’t be going to this particular...
Read moreHave visited frequently since opening and it is most unfortunate that only 3 different people seem competent to take orders at drive through. A British girl who we have assumed does not work there anymore, another young girl with tattoos on her wrists and the boy normally with her. If the young girl does not answer us at drive through and it is a different staff member (normally someone asking unusual questions or very hard to understand) we either drive out back onto Fulham, or have to simplify our order so we have a chance of getting it right. Does the nachos come with all 3 salsas or just tomato? Staff seem to each have a different concept of their menu. Our deepest kudos to our young regular (she tells us her name every time but I forget, sorry!). She greets us chipper, asks us very simple and clear questions and always gets the order right. When served by others it takes us at least two minutes to get two simple Powerbowl orders across and they arrive in the bag dirty (covered in avacado or tomato on the bottom of the bowl) and often lacking our requested extras. Four stars for the regular service we get! The food is...
Read moreI have been a long time customer of Belmont Cloverdale, and have averaged probably 2-3 burritos a week over a 2 year period. Everything has changed with the new staff they've got in over the past few months. The customer service is really poor, with longer wait times and no apologies. I am consistently being charged the wrong prices, being given the wrong order (last time i ordered a vegan burrito and got a pork one instead). The last handful of times i've been i've noticed that the wraps (which used to be rolled so nicely) now look like they are being squished instead of rolled, they are barely edible! I actually feel sick from the one i've just eaten, i think i had rice that had been sitting there all day. Really disappointing, please managers get on top of customer service and quality control, otherwise i will stop coming back. Definitely some more retraining needed! I pick these up on my way home from work and don't have the time or energy to drive back to get these orders corrected. I'll just go to Vic...
