Miso Bento — Restaurant in Westminster

This place just opened, it is absolutely fantastic. I could not fault a single thing. Excellent customer service, friendly and attentive. The venue is beautiful, it has a really homely yet modern vibe to it- cute decorations too.

The food was casual Japanese dining but very refined and high quality- especially for the price point. Everything was seasoned to perfection, and the ability to ‘DIY’ the bento box is very clever- as everyone has different tastes. I ordered the steak miso butter with a fried egg, the egg yolk was runny and I could mix it in with my rice! (so so good). Potato salad and sides were yummy- but I could not believe how good the steak tasted- cooked perfectly tender and had a generous glaze of miso butter over it.

I highly recommend giving this place a go, they have done exceptionally well for their opening day and I cannot wait to come here regularly. It has filled a missing Japanese cuisine gap Westminster has needed for a long...

I came in to grab a takeaway, just 10-15min ago. I understand that the restaurant closes at 8:30 and that I arrived just 30min before this time, however, it doesn’t matter what time you’re closing, you do not have quality food to sell, simply inform people you are out of it, don’t supply questionable fish… I bought 8 pieces of sashimi and they look terrible. Brown edges and funny appearance. Unfortunately I only checked when I got home and it was too late to go back for a refund. Pictures speak for themselves….

I had the Chicken Katsu Curry, with steamed rice, potato salad, takoyaki and ginger. We also got the Karaage, and some miso and sashimi.

All the food was super fresh and full of flavour. The fried crumb on the meat was nice and crispy, and the meat was juicy. The curry flavour was really nice as well.

Basically all the food was top notch. And the service was good as well. There's plenty of seating, including a large centre table in case you have a big group.
