Overall, best to turn away. The food was below par. Ordered the steak, some satay chicken sticks and some chicken friend rice. The highlight of the meal was the satay chicken sticks and the veggies included with the steak. Unfortunately, that's where the good parts end.
The fried rice was mushy and honestly did not taste all that great.
The steak wasn't really steak and was more or less cartilage or a prime cut thinly into pieces to save costs (a strategy i've seen elsewhere) which was also supremely undercooked and might as well been called tartar. Being one of the most expensive items on the menu, it doesn't live up to its price.
The service was indifferent, the cashier who rung us up asked us "first time?" and we answered yes, but there was no further dialogue, we would have liked some help with the menu. This person was also extremely vague when we were attempting to order and didn't really explain anything. They also didn't ask us if we wanted to eat in or take away (we kind of wanted to eat in, but didn't after this) and appeared to be abrasive.
The atmosphere is okay. I like the decoration inside and the ceiling fans are interesting as i've never seen them before, but the place is kind of like a ghost town. No one's sitting down and it's prime dinner time. There's also this oddly melancholic classical music playing in the background which in no way shape or form fits in with the restaurant's theme. Alongside this, the till was poorly put together, there is no reception and only a bar with a clothed table blocking it with no accessible spots for staff to exit.
My friends and I are definitely not coming back unless some real changes are made to the place. The prices need to go down. It cost us $90 for 2 entrĂŠes and a main which would have costed less than half at somewhere like BNW or EOA. The food standards also need to change, none of these cost-cutting measures and perhaps making the place...
Read moreOne table (3 people) when my husband and I arrived. Three more tables arrived after we had ordered (3 or 4 people at each) and three wait staff front of house. After an hour we realized that these three other tables all had their meals and we only had a drink which had disappeared long ago. Eventually I caught the eye of our waitress and she went to the kitchen and came back to tell us our order wasnât done properly and it would be ready soon. You think one of the wait staff would notice that we had been waiting and checked a lot sooner. They didnât even come near us for more drinks. Another 10 minutes and our entrees arrived. Mixed entree was okay except the curry puff didnât seem to be cooked. Spring rolls were tasty. Our mains arrived as we were finishing our entrees. Food was nothing special and not worth the price. Seafood Satay was $28 and I think they forgot the seafood. Chicken Satay was 6 sticks, dish of satay sauce and some shredded carrot for $18. Fried rice $15 wasnât special and tasted salty. No customer service and they donât care. We couldnât wait to get out of there.....no apologies or offer of a discount. We are locals and we wonât be...
Read moreDo not waste your money ordering food from here. The worst Thai food we have ever had. The satay chicken skewers were horrible and full of fat!! The rice wasn't cooked properly. The pad see ew was tasteless, had no flavour or sauce and was burnt! The dessert was disgusting! Ordered the banana with sticky rice and ice cream. Firstly they used canned bananas and secondly mine had a hair in it!!! They went straight in the bin with the rest of the food. Only gave 1 star as they don't have an option for negative stars!
After reading your pathetic response I will now share that both of us that ate some of your disgusting food have been sick for 3 days!!!!
Anyone reading this review, google canned bananas and see the photos which are identical to what this terrible...
