Let me take the opportunity to review this place after my 5 nights stay in room 401. I was so happy to have the initial conversations prior to booking with Jen and Pat. They were very honest and great to chat with and they were very helpful. It’s the conversation with these two staff over the phone which enable me to complete my booking. Great customers services and friendly. They are so easy to chat with and will assist you in any way they can. The staff including Kris are just amazing and they will ensure you are well looked after during your staff. I have a few conversations with housekeeping staff, and they were indeed a delight to chat too as well. Building – next to the sea therefore you will expect the place to be affected by the salt water. The rooms are privately owned so it will all look different and therefore it’s of no fault of the staff. The owners are the ones who need to read the feedback and make the required changes. Parking – limited parking onsite but don’t worry you can park on the read road and areas around the hotel as well. Rooms on arrival your room will smell of dampness but simply open the doors and windows and you will soon start to smell the sea and the breeze. 401 was very clean and the floor was literally shinning, and the linen were clean. My room had 2 sugarcane furniture and there is no need for that, so I suggest that the open remove it as it looks tacky and takes the nice feel of the room. Room has all the facility that you can use. Mostly important to note here that there is no daily housekeeping so if you need anything get it from reception or ask the housekeeping staff. Cleaning equipment was provided in the room to ensure you kept the basic keeping needs yourself. Location - can’t fault anything here. Views - I can’t say anything negative here. Overall comment. I suggest owners read and action reviews from guest so that the staff are not held accountable for your inadequacy. It’s not the staff fault at all how the rooms look as its owned individually, so I suggest before you book have a chat with Jen and Pat so that you are well informed as to what you are booking and paying for. They really made my stay 5 star stay. Great places around to eat and sightseeing nearby. Be kind to the staff s they are not responsible for owners’ lack of upkeep of the rooms. Great place to stay but the rooms you get will be the draw of the luck. I asked many questions and was lucky to get a room that I liked and was very happy with. 401 does not have a stove but has small cooking top that you can use. Has a microwave and slow cooker and fridge, everything you need to cook it’s there but no need to cook in the room as there are so many restaurants which sells great food next door, and it has red roaster across the road and domino’s pizza only 4 minutes’ walk as well. i enjoyed my stay here and as per my comment always chat with reception staff prior to booking for support...
Read moreThis was our second time staying here while visiting family. The first time, the only issue we had was that the internet didn’t work at all in our room. This most recent visit had a few issues, but the internet worked fine! We booked a queen room and I guess they didn’t have any available so they put us in a larger, nicer room which had a full kitchen. That was nice, but the bedroom had no outlets by the bed for charging our phones (I need it nearby in case of emergency), and my husband uses a CPAP machine so there was nowhere to plug it into. We ended up borrowing an extension cord from family for him to use the second night but the first night he was unable to use the machine at all, which was stressful. In the queen room which we had booked previously, it had outlets right next to the bed. So although the upgraded room had its perks, it wasn’t what we booked and needed up being problematic. The absolute worst part of the room is that the bed was extremely hard. It was like a concrete slab. I’ve stayed at hotels and motels all over the world from $40 a night rooms to $400 a night rooms in my lifetime and this was by far the worst bed I’ve ever slept in. I actually barely slept at all. I ended up moving to the sofa at one point which was slightly less hard. We were woken up just after 7am on both mornings of our stay by very loud banging, drilling and construction noises. I don’t know if they were coming from the hotel or from another building next door but it was horribly loud. There is a total of ONE disabled parking spot at this hotel. Last time we stayed we were told we couldn’t use it because it blocked some other door. This time someone was parked in it. Although my husband can walk, he can’t walk long distances and he does have a disabled placard for the car so it was disappointing that this hotel doesn’t have any disabled parking for its guests. There are 3 separate parking lots, each one very small and hard to navigate in due to dead ends or just being such a small space. We were checking in after 5pm and couldn’t get anyone on the phone to help us (no one was at the front desk). We finally did get someone on the phone who gave us the code to the lockbox where our key was left for us. On a positive note, the location cannot be beat. It’s within walking distance to everything and the view is spectacular. We really enjoyed the balcony which was spacious and as we were on the 8th floor, again the view was perfect! We will not be staying here again due to the reasons mentioned above - particularly the lack of disabled parking and the concrete slab…I mean “bed”. Please consider upgrading to better mattresses. I have slept on a $100 mattress that was a “bed in a box” before and it was more comfortable by far. You don’t need to break the bank for your hotel mattresses but please get something that is at least acceptable because...
Read moreBEWARE, BEWARE, BEWARE! Don't get scammed by this aweful business. On Booking.com and the Bayview Tower website, the pictures of the rooms at promised bright, clean and modern rooms with colourful furnishings as well as gorgeous balconies with sweeping views of the ocean. I was also shown a picture of your resort pool which I was looking forward to using. It was due to these pictures that I decided to spoil myself and spend the more on a room at this resort, than I would usually pay for a standard motel room.
However, what I actually got when I arrived at the facility was HUGELY DISAPPOINTING and way below the standard of any motel room that I would have chosen to stay in. I was given a dark, dirty and depressing room that had mostly a view of a corrugated roof and trees, with a tiny glimpse of water. The balcony was old, with pealing paint and looked directly onto a roof top. The internal lighting was very poor and the floors and cupboards were full of dust. Instead of bright and colourful, modern furniture and I was given an black and awkward couch. The bathroom was very old, dirty and had mould all over the walls and the cold tap on the basin was not working properly. There was also no proper lighting in the main section of the room with no bed lights for reading. Even the big clock on the wall was not working. Additionally, when I wanted to go for a swim the resort pool and a note saying it was closed. It was only when I went to complain at reception, that I was told that the units are privately owned, that each one is different and there are levels of renovation. I was actually told that I had a 'superior' queent room! There was NOTHING superior about the room. When I went back to check both their website and Booking.Com, there is not one picture showing this room or any warning that what is displayed on either website is not necessarily what you get. If I was given an accurate picture and description of the room that I was getting, there is NO WAY that I would have opted to pay the exorbitant amount to stay in this facility. In fact, I would not have chosen to stay in that room, no matter what the cost! This business is engaging in false advertising and lying to customers. I have complained a number of times in different forums and they have completely ignored my complaint. I would not recommend that anyone stay at...
