Gastein Alm — Restaurant in Bad Hofgastein

The service and the food was worse than expected. On Friday night me and my 10 friends visited the restaurant. We had a reservation, but when we came there was no open table. The server which handled our orders was very rude. When she heard we were foreigners she insulted us with saying “English Schweinen”. We understand German, but we are more comfortable speaking in English. She spilled our wine (maybe on purpose). About the food: the French fries was like those in Mac Donald’s. We waited for the food around an hour. The server did not tell us that the kitchen is closing and she can take last orders. We will be not...

Nice place, good food. Unfortunately on 23th.January waiter did not provide the bill only card terminal with sum to pay. We came back next day, ordered and I checked the sum for order today and day before. He cheated us day before by 10 euro. Next day he shown me sum to pay and after I asked for the bill and he corrected the sum to pay by 5 eur... so he tried to cheat us again. We were shocked, but we are on holiday and we left the case without informing management. Ask for bill and check with amount displayed...

The staff were very rude and unwelcoming all because we didn’t wait to be shown to a table. It was early and the restaurant was empty apart from 1 table in the corner. They seemed annoyed we just wanted drinks at 11:30am. They wanted to seat us nearer the other couple. He said you can’t sit there, the table is too big, you should have waited to be seated.
