Zum Goldenen Adler — Restaurant in Bad Hofgastein

‎تعامل جدا سيء ، أنا وصديقتي كنا نتمشى، ومعاي قهوة من محل قريب وكنت شربت منها تقريبًا مخلصه نصها، وصديقتي بعد كان معاها مشروب أخذته وإحنا نتمشى. شفنا المطعم وقلنا ندخل نتغدى، وما كنا منتبهين لموضوع المشروبات، لأن ما كان فيه أي نية مسبقه أصلا وكان مرور المطعم صدفه، كنا فعليًا جايين نطلب غداء ونجلس. ‎من أول ما دخلنا حسّينا بنظرات مو لطيفة، واستقبلنا واحد من الموظفين وقال لي بأسلوب جداً فظ: "اشربيه برا وتعالي بعدين!"، وقلت له إني جايه أطلب غداء، بس كان واضح إن ما يبون يستقبلونه من الأساس ومع ذلك قلت خل ادخل. ‎وبعدها جتنا موظفة وقالت: "أخفوا المشروبات، ما ابي أشوفها!"، وبأسلوب جداً مستفز، كأننا مسوين شي غلط، مع إن الموضوع جداً بسيط وكان صدفة. ‎ف تضايقنا و طلعنا ما حبينا نتم، و بعد ما قلنا لها "شكراً" وطلعنا، سمعناها تقول بصوت واضح: "ما يفهمون، ما يفهمون!"
صراحة وقاحه، وما في أي احترام للزبون، حتى بعد ما مشينا بهدوء. ‎والفرق؟ أن دخلنا بعدها مطعم ثاني بنفس الطريقة تماماً، وكان استقبالهم جداً راقي ومحترم، والموظفين يفتحون النفس، و مطعمهم أصلاً أرقى بمراحل من المطعم الأول اللي تعاملهم كان جداً سيئ. ‎الزبون من حقه يُعامل باحترام، ومجرد وجود مشروب بسيط بيد أحد ما يعطي أي مبرر لهالأسلوب المتعالي.

Very poor service. My friend and I were walking around when I got a coffee from a nearby place , I had already finished about half of it. My friend also had a drink she picked up while we were walking. We passed by this restaurant and decided to stop in for lunch. Honestly, we didn’t even think about the drinks, it wasn’t planned at all, and entering the restaurant was just a coincidence. We were genuinely coming in to sit down and order a proper meal. From the moment we walked in, we felt uncomfortable because of the way the staff looked at us. One of the employees approached me and said in a very rude tone: "Drink it outside and come back after." I told him I was here to have lunch, but it was obvious they didn’t want to welcome us in the first place. Still, I decided to go in anyway. Later, a female staff member came over and said: "Hide the drinks, I don’t want to see them!" in a very disrespectful and unprofessional tone, as if we had done something wrong. It was such a small thing and completely unintentional. We felt uncomfortable, so we decided to leave. After we politely said “thank you” and walked out, we clearly heard her say: "They don’t understand, they just don’t understand!"
That was seriously rude and completely disrespectful, even after we left calmly and quietly. And the difference? Right after that, we entered another restaurant in exactly the same way, and the staff there were extremely polite, respectful, and welcoming. The environment was so much better, and the second restaurant was honestly far more upscale than the first one, which had such poor customer service and attitude. Every customer deserves to be treated with respect. Simply carrying a small drink should never be a reason to treat someone in such a condescending or unwelcoming...

Zum Goldenen Adler is in the league of their own. By far the best food in the whole Gasteinertal. Their dishes are always perfect, no matter what you choose. Their Tafelspitz, Schweinsbraten, Ripperl, Forelle, Burger, Salads, Soups...all epic. And big portions which is especially nice wheb you are super hungry after a hike, climb or skiing Literally second to none in Gastein that is "famous" for its low standards in gastro in general. Sometimes the wait could be longer when the place is full but it is worth it. On top of that Kaltenhausen beer - the best beer in Salzburg and a nice change from the generic euro beer Stiegl....

Great vibe. Prompt service from a great waiter with excellent English! Witty too! Starter salad was huge and exceptionally nice. A great mix of salads, including potato salad, cucumber and yoghurt, and lots of varied leaves and other veg. Not over dressed, thank God. My main was pork knuckle. The best I've ever had, including Bavarian and Swabian. A sauerkraut and sauté sliced dumplings and gravy accompanied. All excellent but portion was sadly too much. A good complaint! Our waiter offered to pack what was left but as we're not in a self-catering hotel, had to leave it. Great value, considering what we got....
