Herwig Gasser Sweet at its best — Restaurant in Gemeinde Baden

This was by far one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. While the coffee and food themselves were good, the service was absolutely appalling. The waitress, a middle-aged woman with short hair, treated me and my family with shocking levels of rudeness and racism.

We were ignored not once, but twice, and when she finally decided to acknowledge us, her attitude was extremely dismissive and unpleasant. It was clear we were not welcome, and as tourists, this was deeply upsetting and insulting.

To make things even worse, after we had paid and were about to leave, she came to our table and started nagging, saying “What is this?” and complaining that she had to clean up after us — as if doing her job was somehow beneath her. The audacity and unprofessionalism were unbelievable.

I only wish I had caught her name so I could expose her here in this review she was very, very bad and completely unfit to deal with customers.

No amount of good coffee or food can make up for being treated in such a degrading manner. Management should be aware that this waitress’s behavior is destroying their reputation. I will never return, and I strongly advise others to avoid this place unless they enjoy being insulted and...

WORST SERVICE EVER. RUDE PERSONNEL! Extremely rude and arrogant waitresses. I am of Asian descent so I will go so far as to say they are racist. The lady who took my order was anything but friendly, just coldly took my order. Then a large woman with brown hair brought our things and as I politely asked her for water for my dog, she turns around and cuts me off giving me the biggest attitude and says “I already KNOW, it’s on the way”. Uno de los lugares más apreciados y atesorados cuando viajo a Viena es pasar unos días en Baden Wein, Austria 🇦🇹 No es por casualidad, que después de tantos años se mantenga como un lugar de destino turístico, veraneo buen comer y excelentes opciones para el ocio. Esta confitería Herwig Gasser es uno de los lugares a visitar por cualquier viajero que no sea local y que esté buscando calidad tradicionalidad en los postres y preparados de los mejores manjares de la región. Yo opté en usar la intuición e ir a abordar en mi degustación un pastel que me trajo al recuerdo una antigua receta griega solamente conocida por los locales donde se utiliza la masa filo en varias capas y en varios momentos de cocción y rellena con nueces y crema, obviamente lo que probé era muy distinto pero me acordó ese exquisito dulce. El que pedí el cual dejó la foto es algo también tradicional de la región por demás sabroso y crocante ya que lo acababan de colocar y también otra delicia de Baden acompañado de un café espectacular.

La ubicación del sitio es una idílica ya que se encuentra en el recorrido peatonal del centro histórico de la ciudad y un lindo lugar para tomar un café luego de descansar un poco en un recorrido de una tarde hermosa . Hay muchas alternativas para el visitante de suculento desayunos que duran casi todo el día, algún almuerzo ligero para el que tiene prisa o en mi caso para una parada de merienda y satisfacer el más exigente paladar con un rico café y un clásico de la repostería...
