As an adventurous food-lover who follows the beat of the world’s best bites, discovering Ginko in the heart of Graz is like stumbling upon a vibrant oasis of vegan culinary creativity. Open, airy, and welcoming, the café floods with natural light, inviting you to explore its colorful, self-service buffet island—from crisp, seasonal salads to thoughtfully prepared warm dishes, all made with conscious care and priced by weight.

I delighted in mixing and matching a plate of beautifully fresh salads, hearty mains, and a fragrant soup—each bite felt honest and thoughtfully composed. Later, the pastry counter captured my heart: vegan cakes and tarts so luscious and delicious, each slice a testament to their in-house bakery’s gentle care and artisan craft. The minimalist décor and friendly staff only added to the cozy yet modern vibe.

True, the price-per-gram approach means your experience is as personal as your plate—but seeing how lovingly each dish is prepared, it’s a small price for such mindful indulgence. Ginko isn’t just a meal—it’s a celebration of vegan cuisine done with soul, style, and sincerity. A must-visit in Graz for conscious diners and anyone craving food that feels both...

One of the best eating places in Graz, especially if you are a vegetarian or vegan (though I would recommend this place for a regular diet person too, just as a wonderful experience). You get to pick and mix your own food and you pay at the end, after the staff weighs your plates. All of their produce is bio (and yummy!). If you ever get the chance to try the Thai Massaman curry, go for it! Other really interesting foods and beverages are: the red beet coconut soup, the mixed spicy pickles, the tofu "meatballs", the bio beers and ALL of their desserts. The place has a really good vibe, great service, English speaking staff and clean bathrooms. It's really easy to get there from the city center by foot or tram, but be careful: although the restaurant is quite big it gets really crowded on workdays,...

May 2022. Great spot for all likings (and dietary requirements). Kids & dogs welcome. Ginko is an all-vegan buffet-organized restaurant, most of the dishes are gluten free. They have a broad range of cold and warm dishes one can choose from. The different salads and main courses cover eastern-mediteranean/Levante, adriatic-mediteranean as well as Austrian home cuisine and include, for example, oven roasted veggies, quinoa, dahls and curries or stews such as ratatouille. The menu varies daily, all dishes are prepared on site and produce is sourced locally and of organic quality. The prize is by weight of the plate, in general it is on the higher side, but worth every penny! I highly...
