As a globe-trotting foodie, stumbling into Restaurant Mekong felt like uncovering a little slice of Vietnam in the heart of Graz. From the moment I stepped inside the softly lit, unpretentious interior, it was clear—this place is about flavor, not flash. I savored velvety Pho, crispy, flavorful spring rolls (always confirming vegan specifics!), and a fragrant noodle bowl topped with succulent duck. Everything tasted freshly crafted and bursting with authentic depth. The portions are generous, the prices surprisingly kind, and the staff—warm and welcoming—made me feel like a cherished regular. Whether you're vegan, curious, or craving comfort food, their thoughtful flexibility and clearly used quality ingredients shine through every bite. Don’t let the modest facade fool you: Mekong delivers one of the most heartfelt, satisfying Vietnamese meals in Graz. Absolutely worth discovering.

My friends & I once came here when visiting Graz & we, as Vietnamese, loved it. The chef-and-owner & the waiter were so welcoming & warming, having nice conversations with us & making us feel like home. The restaurant was family-friendly as they played Vietnamese children songs & folk music. The dishes were terrific, all served in high quality & lagre portion. The greatest thing about them was that they were cooked in Southern Vietnamese culture, which is rare in Europe. In the photos, one can find bún bò Mekong (noodle & beef stir fried in Mekong style), Southern Vietnamese styled beef phở & huge spring rolls. Before us leaving, the restaurant also offered us glasses of homemade apricot fruit wine as a farewell gift. In conclusion, I'd highly recommend this restaurant to those who love or wanna try Southern Vietnamese dishes.

Even though it is small but it is still feels homey. I would recommend you come here if you want to experience authentic vietnamese food. The staff are welcoming and very hospitable. Their cha gio is soo good and delicious reminds me of my aunt's cooking. The owner speaks both vietnamese and german. We were very satisfied with the food, i would come here again.

The food is fantastic. Compared to other Asian restaurants in Graz they are cooking with awesome flavours and spices. We had duck, chicken and beef and each dish tasted beautifully (even though the chicken was too dry). In other Asian restaurants in Graz you will often see that various dishes taste almost the same because they often use that glutamate s* But at Mekong's every dish has its own signature taste, they're really making authentic Vietnamese food. I'd also argue that they're making the best duck amongst all Asian restaurants in Graz.

On top of that the service is great. They are super friendly and nice and you'll be served super fast.

It's almost unbelievable that we only paid around eur 65 for 4 people given the quality of the food and service.

I can totally recommend this place. Go there and see...
