Má kitchen — Restaurant in Graz

We had tofu pho and tofu crepe.

We come from Brno where the Vietnamese cuisine is on very high level. We came here based on nice reviews and idea that the food will be good taste at least. We were highly disappointed, I normally don’t dare to write reviews, but here it was very bad experience. The pho had very poor broth taste, but mainly it was sweet which was strange and the main spice we tasted was clove. We also ordered the crepes, they were only heated up and very oily, it reminded us the czech potato pancake “bramboraky”. The filling was tasty / allright but one thing that saved the food and made us feel like let’s finish it was soya sauce.

The food was pretty alright, nothing to write home about, but the ordering system is one of the most inconvenient ones I've encountered. Instead of just ordering at the counter they have a guy pointing at a qr code, telling you to scan and order on your phone, where you can only pay with your card information or Google Pay, which begs the question: why not be able to order at the counter if there is an employee standing at the entrance anyways, asking you whether you want the food here or to-go. Unsure if this is the intended temperature for the dish, but the noodles I ordered were barely lukewarm, and I did not receive the drink I chose...

Wir lieben vietnamesische Küche nicht nur seit unserem Besuch in Vietnam. Beim Vorbeigehen sind wir auf das Restaurant aufmerksam geworden. Das Self-Service Restaurant ist vom Innenraum sehr ansprechend und einladend. Entscheidet man sich im Freien zu essen, hat man halt den Lärm der Heinrichstrasse. Was das Essen betrifft, vergebe ich deshalb nur 3 Sterne weil, es zu den Preisen verglichen keine ausreichenden Portionen sind und daher für mich das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis nicht stimmig ist - also zu teuer. Die Speisen sind geschmacklich wirklich gut - jedoch waren zum Beispiel die Nudeln kalt. Das müsste jetzt nicht sein, da wir die einzigen Gäste waren... So viel Zeit hätte sein können. Das Personal sehr freundlich, was für mich auch sehr wichtig ist. Trotzdem sollten die eher klein gehaltenen Portionen zu den Preisen passen und daher war es ein Versuch und dabei wird es bleiben.
