Ristorante | Pizzeria Galliano — Restaurant in Graz

The pizza is very good, it's to my taste, thin crust, good ingredients, salami is very good!

Unfortunately I had a bad experience with the waiting staff, I worked with the restaurant in the past, so I was there quite frequently, as a customer I'd usually order take-out as that is a service they offer through Velofood.

So this unfortunate event occurred while I was there in a professional capacity and not to eat, though I have many times, as mentioned, the pizza is very good and I don't like the pizza in most places, I used to live across the border from Italy so I am very spoiled in that regard and the Galliano certainly is a quicker way to get an authentic fix for the pizza desire in Graz than heading to the airport and going to Italy.

I was waiting in the entrance area and one of the waiting staff, that had previously made me quite uncomfortable, came into physical contact and prevented me from leaving as I had been facing the wall and unfortunately I was held in a manner that prevented me from moving away as well as being touched in areas I would prefer not to be, without giving consent, which I most certainly did not.

This made me extremely uncomfortable, there had been several previous instances, though none particularily serious more of a nuisance.

The incident lasted approximately 1 minute and ended when I asked to be let go off. Though not quickly, it lasted about 10 more seconds after I had clearly verbalised my dissatisfaction.

Furthermore, as mentioned, back then, this happened several months ago, I worked with Galliano and so the waiting staff was able to get hold of my superior and issue a complaint, which directly led to my termination 10 days later. Though with a 3 month notice.

The staff member described my behaviour as inappropriate.

This, I had been expecting, as complaints after refused advances had happened twice, though I had not been mentioned by name. Still I was the only plausible person, whom it could be so I was reprimanded in both cases.

This is why I was afraid to, for instance, physically remove the waiting staff from my vicinity, as you may guess I have so far left out one detail, so it would be read neutrally and without preconceptions.

I knew if she issued a complaint, I would loose by default and that if I resisted, that complaint would be a certainity.

Unfortunately that's exactly what happened. I wasn't very attached to that job, so I guess it is what it is but the incident itself has been hard to forget and the more time passes the harder it is.

I do wish the two cooks and the other 3 waiting staff, as well as the full restaurant, whom had witnessed everything would have intervened in some way.

I won't be ordering again. My hair turned grey just three weeks later and about 30 years early.

This has been on my mind.

I did say that I would inform the authorities but I was told by my direct superior that doing so would entail, making untrue statements about me to the authorities and I'm no one, I can't afford a lawyer.

So I was silenced in that way.

I was strongly discouraged from contacting the restaurant directly and they are very much aware that this incident took place and what ensued.

I hope that this review can at least offer me the opportunity to at least publicly say what happened and to say that in my opinion the waiting staff member should not be employed anymore.

For the restaurant, it will be very easy to know exactly who I am unfortunately. This is why I hesitated in writing this review and I wanted to give the restaurant the occasion to reach out to me and maybe settle this matter...

I don’t like pizzas however, I could still enjoy it and eat the leftover the next day.

We got 4 different pizzas and everybody at the table enjoyed theirs. The quality of ingredients and the preparation was appreciated by pizza lovers on the table.

Why a 4? I don’t think it will be memorable or tasted so good that it significantly distinguishes itself from other pizzas.

Or maybe I’m not the right person to give subjective opinions...

As pizza lover, I found Galliano as the best pizza restaurant in Graz region. Everybody in the restaurant is really kind. I always try different pizzas, they have amazing ingredients and feels so fresh. And also olive oil they use in pizzas feels like home. I really advise this place for daily also as a cool meeting points with your family and friends. You can sit outside also inside close to oven how you like both place will...
