Santorin - Zum verlorenen Sohn — Restaurant in Graz

The worst restaurant I've ever been to!! We arrived with my husband and two hungry kids at noon. The place supposedly opens at 11:00. It was completely empty and dark; we walked in, but hardly anyone acknowledged us. My daughter even mentioned it smelled bad.

When the waiter/cook/owner show up his face was far from friendly, and once he realized we weren't locals, he became even grumpier... After some hesitation, he pointed to a table where we could sit.

While I was undressing the kids, out of the corner of my eye, I saw him beating eggs in an empty plastic container behind the counter (not in the kitchen!).

We felt extremely uncomfortable. When he appeared, he asked what we wanted to drink, of course in German... then he handed us a German menu. There was no English version.

We wanted to leave immediately; everything was so bizarre, and the way he treated us made us feel awful. But because of the kids, we decided to order some food for them at least.

When we tried to ask about the food in German, he explained in a rather outraged manner... and when he heard we only wanted one portion of food with drinks, he scolded us, still in German of course, even though we didn't understand... he was outraged and practically kicked us out. We immediately said we didn't want anything and left.

I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS...

Gemütlich nettes Lokal. Essen sehr gut und ausreichend. Kalte Vorspeisenplatte vorzüglich und wird mit sehr leckerem Pitabrot serviert. Leider wurde uns kein zusätzliches Brot verkauft, da nicht genug vorhanden war und der Besitzer noch die übrigen Pitas für etwaige andere Gäste reservieren wollte. Gemischten Platte kam keider ohne Tzatziki und muss extra bestellt werden. Besitzer eher grimmig/mürrisch und lässt einen nicht willkommen fühlen. Zusätzliche Getränke Bestellungen werden eher widerwillig angenommen. Ambiente finde ich jedoch schön und die griechische Musik untermalt das Urlaubsflair im Herzen der Stadt.

Edit: Nachdem wir am nächsten Tag bemerkten, dass die Vorspeisenplatte nicht verreichnet wurde, waren wir so höflich und sind erneut hingegangen um die Vorspeisenplatte zu bezahlen. Zuerst wollte er nur 30 Euro ohne Rechnung, da wir aber eine Rechnung gebraucht haben für die Abrechnung mit der Firma, wurden plötzlich auf der Rechnung 66 Euro fällig. Finde auch schade, dass bei der Vorspeisenplatte gar kein Brot dabei ist und das extra hinzuverrechnet wird. Da uns Kartenzahlung verweigert wurde - aus nicht transparenten Gründen - und wir nur 50 Euro bar dabei hatten, meinte der Wirt 50...

Very unfriendly owner. Outdoor area had only 1 table occupied so we took a table and waited to be served. After 10 minutes the owner came out and told us to move because the table was reserved. He pointed to the worst table in the outdoor area by the gate and the traffic noise. Fortunately, we know that there's a lovely Greek restaurant Athen just around the corner. This guy...
