Hafenstadt Urban Area — Restaurant in Klagenfurt

I love the coffee and breakfast here especially! Unfortunately the staff seems quite overwhelmed with the huge amount of guests that come here every day. The last five times I visited this café, it was very hard to find a table (an unfortunate downside of Klagenfurt not having a lot of good cafés). The kitchen is quite small too, which often leads to long waiting times; if you're stressed and don't have much time, this is probably not the right place for you. Usually you need to wait 30-60 minutes if you ordered food.

Despite all of this, I really can't bring myself to give anything lower than four stars. The quality of the food and coffee are quite far ahead of most places in the city. My favourite breakfast is called "Romy and Alain", if you like sweet stuff I can definitely recommend that one! Goes well with a nice cup of coffee in the morning.

A great and stylish bar/cafe/restaurant. There are plenty of drink options, ranging from basic (non)alcoholic to long-drinks and cocktails, including non-alcoholic (virgin) variants. There is also a weekly changed menu of tasty warm and cold dishes that you can order until they close. Some desserts are also available. Seating options vary, having tables with cushioned benches and chairs, as well as some with high stools. During warmer days the few tables outside are a favourite. The typical table size is for either two or four people, yet some can be joined for larger groups - with reservation. It is a more casual place, although you can also find the occasional worker answering their mails on a laptop - or a couple on a date. I've always loved this place, however my last time there I was very disappointed. I have been to this restaurant in 2019 and the summer of 2020 and loved it, because I loved the ambiance, the food and drinks were good and the waiters were very nice. So naturally when some friends and I wanted to meet up we thought of this place to have a nice drink and a good time. We did not have a good time. It was the 22. last month, the ambiance look wise was still there, however the waiter was very unprofessional. He was very rude, throughout our whole experience there. I may have given this place the benefit of the doubt, if this wouldn't have also happened on the exact same day to a friend of mine with a waitress also. If the service there isn't nice and welcoming, it's not worth it paying for food and drinks not worth the high...
