I've stayed in Kufstein before, when taking a short fly in / fly out break to ski. Normally family ski trips are a drive to France affair, but I find if it's just one or two of us, flying in to Munich is often very well priced (much cheaper than Innsbruck), car hire is easy, and it's only an hour or so to Kufstein on the doorstep of so many great ski resorts.||||First time trying the Stadt, and it was a good choice. Underground parking (tip: don't pay the hotel 25 per day, if you are only coming in and staying overnight and gong out its €15 at the machine) is plentiful, it's well located for walking to find dinner etc, being right in the centre of the town. Staff have been very friendly, and breakfast was included, which I hadn't realised and that was a nice surprise. Buffet is huge, with endless choice, everything from bacon and eggs, to vast amounts of cereal, fruit, yoghurts, cheeses, salmon, loads of different breads, cakes, you name it.||||Room is huge. This trip was my teenage son and I, and we split the king-bed by separating the mattresses (I'd asked in my booking for two beds, and the king room with twin singles was a good solution. Mattress was excellent, I'm picky about mattresses and pillows and they did well on this. We got a little dining table and chairs as well as some sitting chairs, which is handy. We actually got takeaway a couple of times as we were tired and realistically when you're skiing like this you're not out for lavish dinners and things. ||||Lots of power outlets for charging the million devices we all carry, extra marks for that. Plenty of cupboard space, and a useful big safe for valuables and passports etc.||||Barely any negatives. Parking was a nuisance, that adds up, it'd be nice to think it was included or the hotel price was a "discount" not an extra markup. Be aware the town bell goes of like mad at 7am, so if you're looking for a leisurely quiet lie-in, you aren't having one.||||I'd happily use it again. Also our room had a interconnecting door meaning family groups can book adjoining rooms,...
Read moreWe stayed for one night with the aim to watch the start of the UCI Cycle race. The hotel is centrally located and about a 10 minute walk from the railway station.||||We booked a business suite which proved to be very spacious with a large separate seating area and a decent size bathroom. The settee and chairs were very comfortable as was the king size bed ...only one thin pillow though! The room was spotlessly clean.||The temperature was fairly mild during our stay which was fortunate as the rooms are not air conditioned. The business suite does have multiple windows you can open and as the room faced an inner courtyard with shops/cafes etc there wasn't too much noise. Certainly not noisy overnight but at 7:30 am there is a kindergarten that start receiving children!||Business customers will be impressed with the internet speed - varied between 60 mbps and 100 mbps - very impressive for a hotel!||||Buffet breakfast was p to standard with plenty of choice and staff frequently replenishing the food.||||This hotel is very good value for money - bearing in mind we stayed when the town was very busy because of the cycle race, many hotels would have inflated their prices - as far as I can tell, I was charged the normal rate.||||We would be happy to use this...
Read moreThe hotel may be a little difficult to find, as my GPS insisted I drive down a pedestrian-only street. But eventually I found it by coming from the opposite direction. The entrance is located on the pedestrian street, so it's best upon arrival to park in the underground garage and come up through using the elevator.||||This hotel is located in a perfect position to walk around the city, to the fortress and the church. The interior of the hotel appears modern, with a beautiful mural on the interior wall of the dining room. The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful, with cheery hellos at breakfast. The rooms are amazingly quiet (with the windows closed), well kept and spacious. The beds have soft downy comforters and an ample number of large sizable pillows. The bathrooms are modern and large, with walk-in showers and plentiful hot water. Lots of counter space as well, which comes in handy with all the toiletries.||||Breakfast was amazing - and included in my room rate! I wanted to try everything - especially the...
