I booked 5 nights via Booking.com and then another night via the hotel website, since Booking.com was sold out. The hotel sent many emails, requesting that I cancel my reservations and make a new one by email. After being harrassed about this approx. 6 times, I agreed, cancelled my reservations and made a new one by email. Then the hotel demanded that I pay €290 down-payment via bank transfer or they would cancel my reservation (they also said I could give them my credit card details in email, which I would never do).|These international transfers have high commissions, which they put entirely on me, and said they only received €258, even though I showed them proof that I transfered the full amount (and regardless, I paid commissions of approx. €30 on the transfer on my side, so I lost over €60 on this transfer). After a few weeks, due to Covid in Austria, I requested to cancel the reservation. I deserved full refund according to the reservation details and I requested the down-payment back. They transferred only €230 (instead of 258) to my account, AND I paid the €30 commission again!! So I was harrassed by the hotel and then they stole from me and also made me pay about €70 commissions making me lost about €120). I really really hope no one ever goes...
Read moreHad a great stay, very friendly and helpful staff, excellent food, catered for all dietary requirements (stayed half board). They even have an info sheet printed at breakfast re activities on offer nearby. Ski gear room well organised. Rooms were fine, good sized balconies, clean, etc.||Only reason I am not giving this hotel 5* is that we were charged for bottle water when we had tap water. When I asked why this was, I was told we didn't drink enough alcohol on 1 of the nights (one of our group was not well) so the extra caraf of tap water was chargable. Apparently you only get 2 free carafs of tap water per caraf of Wine, then it is charged as bottled water (even tho its still tap water). ||Such a pity to have this happen, when all other aspects of our...
Read moreStayed for new year with our sons. Rooms are traditional, and whilst the decor is dated, they were spotlessly clean, and had more space than in similar French ski hotels. Beds are traditional Austrian doubles, ( 2 single mattresses on a single frame). Foot boards mean if you are over 6 ft, you wont get feet over them. The staff were really friendly, the standard of food was great, with lots of variety, served buffet style, and for sporting appetites, particularly after skiing, portions are generous and staff only too happy to give lads extra portions. Location of hotel is super for the main giggijoch gondola. Note that use of the sauna is " naked", which might not appeal to some, and advertised hot tub is at additional cost. We'd recommend...
