hUmami — Restaurant in Salzburg

Given its positive review, I had to try this place for myself. I was not disappointed! Service was quick given my large takeout order, the young lady was very friendly and accommodating. It seems family run. The food was packaged well for takeout. I was glad to see the place for myself rather than do food delivery. Agreement with other reviews, it is clean and menu selection good - location is unassuming perhaps unfortunate, situated in an unspectacular (tiny) shopping precinct (#3 cable bus stops a few meters away from it). Food was still fairly hot given the 15 minute walk back to my hotel in -7 degrees temperature. Vegetables are crunchy not soggy or overcooked, and the food cooked well, not over artificially flavoured or over salted, rice is soft almost sticky which I like and I would hope the family run business continues to be supported as it's doing Asian Food right. Such a wonderful small asian restaurant in this street. The owners are extremely nice and welcoming. There is a huge variety of food here from chinese, thai, japanese… I ate fried duck with veggies and it tasted wonderful. Had also a green tea which was not juat a tea bag but actual leaves and it had a wonderful taste. Also had fried fruit as a dessert and loved it.

The indoor place is small but would say take away is just as good to take.

Don’t let the small shop front discourage you, the food here is incredible!! On top of that, the service is warm, kind and international friendly. We were made to feel at home as soon as we arrived, and when we returned the next night, it was like we were seeing old friends.
