Here we are in one of the many centers of the nice Viennese Alsergrund neighborhood, the University and Medical Campus district of Vienna. In this Blue Orange shop, another is located in the 4th district, you get the chance to have a seat in sunshine and relative coziness for big city standards and quite windshielded for Viennese standards. Anyway if the weather is not on your side, there are even nice tables inside and some even with this afternoon sunshine I mentioned.
The variety of food here at BlueOrange ranges from late breakfast (until 21:00 in the evening) over sandwiches, round flat cakes, to all kind of snacks, also many bagels, this establishment relies on. If you go for coffee and all kind of juices this place is also the right place for you.
I had a delicious Breakfast Burrito, meaning a burrito filled with scrambled eggs, onions, melted cheese, cream cheese and tomato as well as chives. You also can have some breakfast bacon as extra topping on your Breakfast Burrito. It is just relaxing to sit on this nice little square in the middle of bustling city life for having a time-out.

Read moreI thought a lot about what to write about the place. Because what I ate was delicious, the service was friendly. Still, I feel cheated. I got the wrong order, which because it was the same cream cheese base, I didn't notice at first until one of the ladies came over and said there had been a mistake. By then I had already eaten half of it. She offered to bring out what I had originally ordered and I only had to pay for that. I accepted of course, as that was what I had originally asked for because I wanted to try it. But when I paid, they said that unfortunately they would have to charge me for both. If this is what they say at the beginning, that they will bring out my original order but I will also have to pay for both, then I probably won't be asking for the original order any more. I don't consider this procedure fair and honest that they didn't stick to what they offered to make up for...
Read moreThis is a chic brunch spot bustling with customers hoping to get a taste of the rare commodity that is the bagel. The food is good but not outstanding. Many vegetarian options. The water glasses were very clearly not cleaned before given to us. Like visible grime and sticky to the touch. That kinda tainted the experience but the waiter was friendly and helpful so that redeemed it a bit. This would be a perfect place to go if you are craving a bagel because it is one of the only places in Vienna that actually has them but besides that it is not a place I would...
