The food was very very nice - definitely recommend the Ginger & Spice crispy duck and the szechuan tofu dishes. Their homemade aloe vera drinks were also very delicious. Besides that, their dishes are not very expensive! The service was really good, the owner is really kind. There was a couple with kids there besides us and the owner was incredibly friendly towards the kids (and they seemed to be having a blast too). We are definitely coming back again and would recommend the place.

Best Indian Chinese food in vienna. (Indian-Chinese cuisine, also known as Indo-Chinese cuisine, originated in the Tangra Kolkata, India, where a Chinese community, particularly of Hakka and Cantonese descent, settled. This unique culinary fusion emerged from Chinese immigrants adapting their traditional dishes to Indian tastes and spices. Tangra, often called Kolkata's Chinatown, became the birthplace of this distinct style of cooking. )

Delicious thai curry and udon noodle soup! Just the right level of spice and good portion sizes - we were very full! Great set of options for vegetarians which is fairly unusual in Vienna. The staff spoke very good English (good for tourists like me) and were very friendly. Very reasonably priced compared with what we would pay for this meal in London. I really liked the pretty bowls too. Would definitely recommend!

Superb Asian food prepared with love and served with care and smile.

We have been visiting Ginger & Spice for more than a year. It is one of the best Asian restaurant in Vienna, which offers great food at moderate prices, combining the best cuisines from Western China, Japan, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam and India.

We recently visited the restaurant with our guests. We ordered Hot and Sour Veg Soup followed by Mango Salad (a house speciality) and Spring Rolls as starters. For main course, we ordered vegetable manchurian, chilli chicken, Thai curry with tofu and vegetables, veg fried noodles and steamed rice. In dessert we ordered stuffed sesame balls and mango pudding. The serving portions were generous and well presented. All dishes were freshly prepared, consistently tasty and were thoroughly enjoyed by each one of us. (In our previous visits we have also tasted equally good vegetarian dumplings as starter and Thai Melanzani and Stuffed Melanzani, spicy tofu, etc.).

The restaurant is aesthetically decorated in Chinese style and can accommodate up to 54 guests. It has a separate room for smoking guests. The restaurant also offers day's menu on working days as well as take away service to its neighboring area. Not far from the city centre, the restaurant is conveniently located in 9th district of Vienna and easily accessible by public transport.

The owners (Liao family) are long experienced in the culinary industry and extremely friendly and happy to recommend and /or customise dishes as per your requirements without compromising the original character of the dish.

Tips: (1) They prepare delicious curry dishes too if ordered in advance. (2) if you enjoy spicy food ask for vinegar chillies in addition to chillies sauce. (3) if you want to organise large group parties, Sunday lunch time is the best. You get best rate and full resources of the restaurant at your disposal. We have done it with great success and...

Generally eating at an asian restaurant in a wholly european country is not the best way to go about eating authentic asian food. As an asian myself, the level of pickiness increases exponentially but this place is not trip advisor approved for no reason!

While there is a variety of dishes from various asian countries you can try, my family stuck to Chinese food and we were happy with our dishes of fried rice, noodles and vegetables.

Our host was very accomodating and gave us English menus to read and recommended some Austrian beer for our family to try. The dishes are reasonably priced and the atmosphere of the restaurant is welcoming. There is also a separate section for those who would like to have a cigarette or two...

Never again!

The place doesnt look like much from the outside. I still gave it a try after a friend recommended it.

First got a salad, which wasnt very good, but I was hopeful for the following courses. The chicken of my satay was raw inside. The noodles in the pad thai werent soft enough and after two bites I noticed the really bad smell of the dish. I couldnt eat it for the life of me, so I left.

Maybe I had bad luck. Anyways, I went to Pho33 across the street, where I’ve been going to for years, and it’s never less than wonderful. Go to Ramien if you want good pad thai in Vienna.

The one star is for the service. The waitress was very friendly (up until when I returned the pad thai).

I am sorry not to have anything...
