So I recently attended DalToscana with my family and I was happily surprised . Even though this restaurant feels like it is on some random corner in the 9th district , the moment you enter it feels very cozy and warm and isolated from the outside . From the aesthetics of the place to the Menü everything follows the theme of south Italy . The Menü is presented on a blackboard in Italian . So it takes a little knowledge of Italian or google to figure out what you will be ordering . The hostess is very kind and offered us that we could order main dishes as starters and they would adjust it for us . After ordering we received a greeting from the kitchen in form of a special day soup. The idea of such is really nice because it helped to reduced overall feeling of having to wait. Next up we’re starters and main courses . I have to say the handmade noodles were hands down the best thing I have had in a while because they were cooked perfectly and felt so fresh . Overall the dishes were all of very high quality and it did feel like Nona’s ( grandma’s ) kitchen ! In the end we tried the deserts of which I can recommend the tiramisu but the profiteroles were really not of my taste . The chocolate spice was a little bitter and boring . So for me I can absolut recommend for a cozy time the small restaurant feels perfect !

My wife and I decided to have a little snack and drink wine after a walk. I remembered the restaurant "Dal Toscano" and those evenings, when we lived near this restaurant and loved to have dinner here. That was in 2013. I asked to bring prosciutto, parmesan, Italian vegetable antipasti, bread and wine. Previously, there was an incredibly delicious Italian bread. The girl said that there are no dried tomatoes, but vegetables can be served. And she brought stewed carrots and zucchini... Parmesan-like cheese was sliced like Gouda. The bread crumbled in hands and was absolutely tasteless. It seems to me that the girl did not even understand what I wanted to order. Unfortunately, only the name is left of the Italian restaurant.

Every dish is made with heart and soul, and a passion for authentic flavors. They dare to come up with surprising pairings, and the veal chops served with tuna sauce or the beetroot-cucumber-mint soup all prove that they do it very well! The terrace provides a pleasant retreat from the busier parts of the city, which makes it even easier to feel like you are in a Tuscan trattoria. The taste experiences you can get here will recharge you both physically and mentally!
