mani Yppenplatz — Restaurant in Vienna

We were really looking forward to try this place out seeing such a good reviews and loving oriental/ middle east food. But I have to say that we really regret going to this restaurant. First It took almost an hour to get the food. The place was quite busy and we where a big group so this is something that can happen and I could understand. The huge disappointment was the portion sizes, we order each a main dish and some starters and the amount of food that was served was really ridiculous. Everyone on the table was still really hungry afterwards, so much, that after leaving the place we went to another restaurant nearby to eat a proper meal. We all agree, the food was tasty but not really worth it, if you spend 20-25 Euros on a restaurant you should expect to be properly fed. Two small Falafels for 7-8 Euros in a place like Yppenplatz is more like a joke. Was planning to go to Mani since a long time (of course the pandemic time was in between) and yesterday finally i did. I even convinced my friends to join me and i really regret that i did as none of them was happy. We got a table outside and there was some music as well. BUT here is where most of us got disappointed. The portions are too small for the price we paid. Three spoons of hummus and a few pieces of meat in the middle for 15€. Even in the Menu was written that bread and salad comes with the meal, we all got bread to share which was not enough and the salad was inside the dish on the side. Food I got selection of meze and aubergine hummus. Food was pretty good, liked their homemade lemonade as well

Service Everything was pretty fast, but the waiter was alone for the whole place, he literally was forgetting about me on multiple occasions, it was hard to get attention and even after getting it he often just immediately forgot again
