Meydan — Restaurant in Vienna

Easily one of the most enjoyable Döner-experiences in the city: Even the dürüm-wraps are freshly made (!!), there is always chicken and lamb (delicious!) to choose from and they offer the ‘good’ hot spice (the sauce, not the powder). A chicken dürüm with feta and an Ayran cost you eight bucks - which is quite affordable these days. Theres in- and outdoor seating available, it’s wheelchair accessible and the neighbouring bar Nelke is well worth a Spritzer or several after. I’ve been an occasional regular at Meydan for over a decade and will continue to be. Highly recommended!

das essen hat gut geschmeckt, daran gibt es nichts zu bemängeln. aber ich wollte ein kebab mit viel zwiebel & viel soße haben, hab ihm auch extra gesagt dass er ruhig mit dem fleisch sparen darf. weiß nicht ob die kebab immer so mager sind, aber in meinem fall hat er dann an allem gespart. es waren weder viel soße, noch viel zwiebeln drinnen. dafür war es aber scharf gewürzt, was ich nicht so bestellt hab .. so schwierig is die bestellung nicht, dass man da was falsch machen kann also is es dem verkäufer anscheinend einfach nur wurscht, was sich seine kunden wünschen. das trinkgeld, dass ich immer wegen meiner extrawünsche hergebe, hätt ich mir auch sparen können. mir wurde das lokal zwar empfohlen, aber ich würd es ehrlich gesagt nicht weiter empfehlen bei so einem schlechten (kunden)service ... da gibts freundlichere kebabstandln in wien, die nicht solche kleinen portionen verkaufen wie dort & vor allem eine bestellung richtig...

Aquest ha estat el primer lloc que em vist de Viena ja que amb l'horari de vol des de Barcelona em arribat a una hora on tot ja estava tancat i no es podia dinar enlloc. Encanvi Meydan no tanca al migdia!

L'home que ens ha atès, un turc que duu 5anys a Austria, va fer tot el possible per poder comunicar-se amb nosaltres i descriurens cada plat i casa aliment que no enteniem. Ens ha posat una taula enmig de la plaça a la ombra i ens ha dut una carta on hi habia una llista de kebabs a 3'50€ i pizzes casolanes BONÍSSIMES i d'una molt bona mida per una persona per 5'50€.

El lloc es molt recomanable i el servei un 10. Tot i no tindre ni cerveses ni cafè, quan vols algo aixi et ve la cambrera del local del costat a servirte, cosa que dona molt bon rotllo que t'atenguin variis comerços pel teu bé!
