Pizza Randale 1020 — Restaurant in Vienna

My overnight visit to Vienna was a first, but - despite a positive attitude - unsuccessful due to terrible service. As we were staying at the Hotel Babula, we wanted to eat after our trip - we ordered two pizzas and two small beers. Pizza and beers ok, but the service violated good manners and tax law: the bill was not handed over to us, and the lack of a bill was the reason for the 10€ overcharge. The waitress only said sorry. Be careful - if you are a foreigner and do not know perfect German, you may be treated like this. Very poor. This also affects the opinion of the hotel (shared restaurant area).

Not knowing why, you can't pay with a card, although the terminal was lying on the counter. I don't like this kind of business that actually treats the customer like a fool. Cash only + no receipt + 10€ less change gives you reason to wonder if you want to use such a pizzeria. The pizza underneath was burnt.

We had a nice evening at Pizza Randale in the 2nd district — such a peaceful, quiet area. We sat outside in the little garden, which was lovely, but I think it would be even better if they added a bit of Randale’s cool vibe and branding out there too. The interior has so much character, and it would be great to see a bit of that energy reflected outside as well. I get that it’s a bit trickier to do, but it would definitely elevate the experience — especially now with the warmer season coming!

The pizza was really good, reasonably priced (though honestly, a couple of bucks cheaper wouldn’t hurt considering it’s not a super touristy area). The waiter was super kind and attentive, which made the whole experience even better.

We ordered two margherita pizzas through the Wolt app. The experience with the app and the delivery person were great. No complaints there but the pizza left a lot to be desired and I wouldn't ever order one from them again. Most of the crust on one of them was burnt and it was so chewy it gave my jaw a real workout. They put a generous amount of cheese on it but that didn't make up for the fact that it just wasn't very good and the sauce lacked any real flavor. I see that there are tons of five star reviews which makes me wonder if we just had bad luck or if they don't value delivery orders as much.
