Porzellanmuseum im Augarten — Attraction in Vienna

The Augarten Porcelain has been around for a long time! The quality of the porcelain is very high, and after the tour and museum visit, I now understand why - everything in the process of making the porcelain pieces is done by hand!

I would recommend taking the tour, and not just visiting the museum. The tour is in German, but there are also headsets available in English. The tour is given by a worker in the porcelain factory, and you get to go through the actual working spaces of the workers at the factory.

I used a NÖ Card / Gutschein for the tour and museum visit, which I found fine for. For me, the normal price of the tour and museum seems high (17,00€ per person), but so are the prices of the Augarten porcelain pieces. Although beautiful, it is not in my budget to purchase.

Wenn Sie Porzellanliebhaber sind ist es ein absolutes Muss, wenn nicht, dann ein bunter interessanter Ausflug in die Welt des Porzellans. Neben dem Museum können Sie auch die aktuelle Angebotspalette von Augartenporzellan bestaunen. Für Geschichtsinteressierte gibt es im Moment die Sonderausstellung über Leopoldine, Habsburgs Kaiserin von Brasilien. Einmal im Jahr Augartenmuseum, das muss einfach sein! Denn nicht nur die herrliche Lage im Augarten, sondern auch die schönen wechselnden Ausstellungen machen einen Besuch ganz besonders. Museum is small, but it has a lot of beautiful pieces, totally worth checking out
