Sang Sang Hietzing — Restaurant in Vienna

Some of the staff was very young and you could tell that they were there to gossip and hang out almost more than looking after their customers. The Korean Fried chicken tastes like paper there because they use pine seeds in the breading as well as add even more to the dish. Way to overpowering making the chicken taste like nothing else but woody paper. The spicy sauce there tastes like it’s from a bottle. They close the kitchen on Sunday’s at 20:00 but are open till 22:00, which made some disappointed and confused walk in’s, since they could see that people were eating. They could have made more money with these customers and people do like to eat late on vacation. Which I think these walks in were tourists. It’s not that cheap either and it’s very fast food tasting. I am saving my money next time and going into town where some proper Korean food is being made for the same price. I was disappointed. Brilliant restaurant, on our two night stay in Vienna we came here for dinner both nights. The staff are excellent, so friendly and welcoming and the back of house staff are so quick and prepare lovely food. The food is hot, staff know the dishes well and are very attentive, such a great find and easy to walk by! Don't though - stop off. :D Good options for vegetarians and they offer takeaway too. I’m native Korean having lived in Europe (France & the UK) for many years. I had Hew Deap Bap here with my family today & I must say that it was the best Korean restaurant I’ve ever been to so far in Europe. Fish & vegetables were fresh and generous, the food was absolutely delicious! The lady told me that they grow Korean herbs themselves. No wonder how they could be so generous with them. Shame that I’m in Vienna for only 5 days. I’ll definitely go back before I leave from Vienna!!!! I’m going to miss...
