Ströck - Hietzing U-Bahn — Restaurant in Vienna

Worst customer service EVEEEER. The blonde girl who took our order was the most rude person I’ve met in the city so far (out of other locals that weren’t very friendly either). My sister has been living in the country for over a year so she tries to practice her german every chance she gets. Because of this she greeted the server (the previously mentioned blonde girl) in german and ordered in german as well. The server insisted on replying to her in English while mocking her at the same time (she even laughed at both of my sisters a couple of times) (a very bad person, indeed).

After we got our order the server girl refused to heat my sister’s sandwich when asked. Why? No reason why.

Anyway, I would recommend hiring less bitter people as the customer experience defines not only whether someone will come back but also whether they would recommend the place to others.

So, to sum up: If you want to be treated badly by arrogant and self-entitled people this is the place for you. If you want to be treated with respect avoid this place :)

The redhead was polite. The older lady with white hair and golden glasses has no idea how to treat a customer. In a city world wide known for its pastries I would except good quality of sweets or even “acceptable”. The two absolutely stale sweets we ate were neither. On the bright side, the hot chocolate and cappuccino were the best we had in Vienna so far. They won an additional star for that. But all in all two stars average (and I’m being very lenient) because of the non-fresh sweets and the rude behaviour. Wouldn’t go again, except if I only wanted just take...

Ströck's is a chain that serves good sandwiches. We two stopped it to pick up sandwiches for lunch as we waited for a tram. FOOD: 4.0. Surprisingly good sandwiches. She got the veggie sandwich (mozzarella cheese, etc), and I got a salami/pickle/lettuce/tomato on rye. Satisfying quick lunch. SERVICE: 4.0.
