Odysseus Restaurant — Restaurant in Vienna

I went to eat alone in this restaurant, which I think is normal thing. The waiter (older guy) was really cold towards me. I really didn't feel welcome in the restaurant.

I ordered a starter first (salad) and as a main I ordered the rib eye steak. I didn't finish my salad yet and they already came with the steak. I quickly finished my salad and they never took the time to remove the empty plate. When I was finished eating I was not asked if I wanted a desert or anything to drink, so I asked the waiter if I can order a desert. Then he said I can't because the kitchen is closed. It was one hour before the Restaurant would close I still saw them rolling out some dishes. He also didn't ask if wanted to drink something instead, to the couple who was sitting next to me he gave the a shot of alcohol for free, like they do in a lot of Greek restaurants. But me he just asked if he should bring the bill. I payed, left and I think they were happy that they left.

Good food, but bad service for me, maybe because I was a tourist or because I came alone, not a...

Worst service in Vienna

The waiters weren't really client oriented, we had to ask to that our table is cleaned up. Then they put the food on the side of the table (not in front of us). I asked for the turlu dish, which was supposed to have potatoes too. I only saw 2 potatoes...so disappointed!

We waited for 10 minutes to pay and in the end we had to go inside to pay our lunch because the waiters didn't look in our way and were not seeing our obvious hand in the air... The food is not bad but not delicious either.

Only the cuisine is Greek, not the service. Maybe we got different treatment because we made a reservation with delinski? That wouldn't be great anyway.

Son found this place as we were wrapping up our Schonbrunn Palace visit. A quick uber ride and we arrived at the place around 1:15 pm (on Monday) - the place wasn’t overly crowded and we were quickly sat down. A very kind and hospitable host helped us pick our food (fluently speaking english and explaining the menu)….we picked a starter dish to share which was served quickly and we devoured it very pleased with all items and then got our main dishes… all very generous portions, very fresh and super scrumptious…I couldn’t wait to write this review (i am still at the place while writing this!) highly recommend! My only regret this restaurant is a continent away from home or it would have been our...
