What a wiggly little tale of fate. Last year, I bumbled in, ordered a coffee, didn't know a knödel from a doorstop—and forgot the entire thing. This year, I returned, newly educated in Austrian dumpling—and bam! A couple of patrons kicked off with such uncouth tomfoolery it startled the entire restaurant in my visit. And just like that, the place etched itself on my mind—like Georgia, or catching your old kindergarten teacher in pajamas. What's also carved in my mind is their ludicrously high-level knödel game and their serious coffee. Most places master one. They're smashing both. The pistachio knödel I had was an absolute showstopper. A whisper of savory from the potato dough. A rich, sweet pistachio filling—lush, velvety. Sharp little zings of rose tang, lingering. It was like a ballroom brawl of flavor. It was fresh, warm, and hypnotizing. The affogato ain't bad either. I'd be genuinely shocked if this place hasn't entered some serious coffee competition. That espresso was one of the most impressive I've had—bold and smooth. Poured over vanilla ice cream, with a mysterious little hint I couldn't quite place, it turned into a sweet, alert indulgence. And as the ice cream melted into the espresso, the flavor melted itself into the deep Vietnamese coffee taste straight out of my childhood. Pricey though, as you can expect.

What a gem! Out of the tourist centre, this little place serves us with delicious Austrian dumplings. The waitress was lovely and helpful. We started with pork & sourkraut dumplings - two dumpling each with distinct flavour. Very delicious. The sourkraut was well judged in taste. Both sweet dumplings - poppyseed and mascarpone with raspberry were excellent. I was only disappointed that the Germknödel we came for is only served in winter. I guess we have to come back! Drinks - there's a selection of excellent fruit drinks. We had an apple and a lemon drink each. And finally - delicious espresso.

My first meal in Vienna! The knödel is super filling and delicious. There's a lot of different flavors. I tried the El Pollo, chocolate banana, and pomegranate lemonade. The owner is super friendly and service is awesome. He gave me a warm welcome to the city and even some takeaway knödel as a gift at the end of the day :) The atmosphere inside is very cozy and relaxing.

Wiener Genuss Knödel impresses with its clean, modern atmosphere and very friendly staff. In addition to a large selection of potato dumplings with rather unusual fillings, they also offer coffee and other beverages. We tried various dumplings with different fillings, both sweet and savory, along with various dips. Everything was delicious. I preferred the sweeter versions, but that was more due to our selection and combination. For my taste, the savory version didn't quite match our sweet selection. The prices are in line with Viennese prices. But the quality and service are...
