This place has a wonderful climate of an old-fashioned restaurant, though with all the modern amenities - inside we could take a rest from the scorching heat outside.
The staff is lovely, the lady who seems to also be the owner of this place is very down to earth and outspoken - she will come and check with you if you enjoy the meal, you will really feel at home there. Just beware the portion size - "die Portion ist normal", according to the owner, but in reality it's truly huge!
As far as the cuisine goes, if you like dishes rich in meat, you won't be disappointed. I was there twice, once I had an exceptional Fiakergulasch and another time I went for a traditional, veal Wiener Schnitzel. Both were absolutely amazing. It is one of the authentic Austrian restaurants in Vienna and always full of local people . The food tastes good, delicious and authentic.
We ordered the spargelcremesuppe and rindsuppe. The spargelcremesuppe is full of Spargel and taste good.
Main dishes : zwiebelrostbraten , schnitzel and fried Zander fish are high recommended too.
The staff served us very well and free us Schnapp.

HIGHLY...

Service (the nice and friendly lady talking to everyone like they're family, makes you feel like home even if you're not), food was absolutely amazing, big portions and very fairly priced. We had garlic soup (delicious!!), Schafkäse in bacon and cordon bleu (photos), prices are very fair, we paid 40 EUR, but we drank a lot so it could've been less. We also got a small shot of Schnaps at the end, for good digestion the lady said :) very nice touch (and may I said it helped haha). We will definitely come back and bring anyone visiting us here for real good quality Viennese...
