Smokey Burger — Restaurant in Villach

After a hard day on the ski slopes and then a bit of exploring around Villach we were searching somewhere to get something to eat. Problem is that many restaurants closes around 20h and everything else that is possibly open is in walking zone (no car).

We found this restaurant driving around and with bit of luck also find parking close to it. So great.

They are opened till 21.30h as I remember correctly so we went there. At that hour we were surprisingly only costumers there (in Slovenia burger places and restaurants are packed with people in afternoon time).

The guy serving us is a legend, he knows how to make costumer happy and how to present food that they have. I ordered their Smokey Burger (medium), my kid and partner ate mini burgers. For extra we ordered onion rings and some fries + beer (they have Corona and Heineken) and Ice tea for kid.

The food was great, beer is beer, and the atmosphere made it even better.

They have a new payment machine that has problems with connection so I couldn't payed with card. I went to the ATM (bankomat) that is 200m of the restaurant. Maybe have some cash for backup with you, until they restore their system ;)

I can say that for now they have TOP 2 burgers in Austria that I ate here.

Had the BEST experience here, the service staff were the kindest, best people! Had a half-hour stopover between trains and went to Smokey Burger to get some quick dinner. Ordered my meal and waited for it to be made, but as I went to pay I super embarrassingly realised I didn’t have as much cash on me as I thought, and couldn’t even go to the bankomat to get more because I had to catch my train. I explained it to the server and apologised enormously, but instead of being mad, he insisted the whole order was on the house!
