The restaurant is located at a high altitude and offers a unique and stunning panoramic view of the city. The rotation of the restaurant allows for a 360-degree view of the city in just 1.5 hours, which is truly breathtaking. However, the overall dining experience was marred by some shortcomings in service and food quality. Upon arrival, our table was dirty with rose petals, which was not the best first impression for an expensive restaurant. We requested to be moved to another table, which was thankfully clean. The staff seemed unresponsive to our concerns and it was quite disappointing.
The service during the meal was also lacking. When ordering drinks, we received the wrong ones twice, and the staff was not willing to correct the mistake. This was frustrating and unprofessional. The food was also a letdown. My Caesar salad was inedible, the chicken inside was strange somehow nearly black. The steak that I had ordered, a New York steak, was not what was served. The steak was room temperature and upon inspection, it was clear that it was not a New York steak cut. It was a medium-rare beef, but not the particular cut that I had ordered. This was quite disappointing as the menu had promised a high-quality steak.
In conclusion, while the location and view from the restaurant are truly spectacular, the service and food quality left much to be desired. I would recommend this restaurant for the view, but with the expectation of a mediocre...
Read more"Dinner with a View (and a Side of Vertigo) at Telequlle" Ever looked at a giant TV tower and thought, "I should eat a fancy meal up there"? Well, someone in Baku did, and thank goodness they did! Telequlle isn't just a broadcast tower; it's a gourmet restaurant floating 310 meters in the sky. It's the kind of place that makes you question your life choices—like why you didn't become a professional cloud-watcher. The history is simple: build a massive tower, realize the views are spectacular, and slap a spinning restaurant on top. It's an engineering marvel and a hilarious test of your balance. As the floor slowly revolves, you get a 360-degree panoramic view of the city. You might start your soup course looking at the Flame Towers and finish your dessert with a view of the Caspian Sea. The must-try dish? The lamb kebab, of course. It's so tender it practically melts, a perfect contrast to the thrill of eating in the clouds. Why should you go? Because where else can you eat a five-star meal while pretending you're a satellite? It's a truly unforgettable experience that proves the sky's the...
Read moreIts atmosphere and scenery are outstanding. To secure a table, you should make a reservation. The service was also perfect. They meet you on the ground floor and accompany you to the restaurant. You need to order a minimum of 30 AZN, roughly 18 USD, food or some beverages per person. Their foods were, I think, average, not bad. They have a wide range of spirits, as well. I loved the pomegranate wine. As for The drawback, they take the service fee, which is 8 AZN and bring a bread basket that amounts to 4 AZN without asking. If they gave this service fee to the staff, I wouldn't be unhappy. It seemed to me that this was the way they helped the amount of bill increase. I guess this is the point they need to fix it. Aside from that, I recommend going to this restaurant for dinner to have a fabulous experience with a magnificent view of the entire city. Don't miss the sunset! It would be helpful to check the weather forecasts before going. Just keep in mind to go there in clear weather to avoid haze or any clouds that can prevent you from watching the sunset and...
