Hungry Howie's Pizza & Subs — Restaurant in Florida

After placing our delivery order, an hour and twenty minutes goes by. My wife decides to call and was told the food was already on the road and will be there in a few minutes. After that the Howie Tracker showed that the food was being made still. Fifteen minutes later I called to ask why the tracker was still showing it being made and he proceeded to tell me that a driver quit and they were really backed up. I flat out asked him why he lied to my wife then when he told her what he did. He said he didn't tell her that. So basically he was calling my wife a liar. I asked for the managers name and his name and he would not give it to me stating he doesn't have to. I told him we were on our way over there.

When we showed up I told him this is who you are calling a liar and I wanted to know the owners name. He would not give it to me. I asked for our food and he said he sent it out with the delivery driver. I told him to call the driver and tell him to bring our food back and he said he couldn't do that. Meanwhile, this young kid has not shown one ounce of compassion for taking an almost weekly customer and destroying a relationship. His attitude through the whole thing was one of somebody that doesn't care, next. He sent me over the edge when he said in response to something or other that I could have handled myself better. It's a work night, I am handicapped and dead tired and this guy lied to my wife, called her a liar by claiming he didn't, forced us to go looking to pick up our food, knowing we were coming sent it out with the driver anyways and was smirking through the entire thing while wearing airpods and no mask while rounding the corner from making food. This was by far the worst experience I have ever had from a pizza...

I really enjoy the food, but my experience with the restaurant staff earned this one-star rating. I have been ordering from this restaurant for over ten years. As part of a $30 delivery order, I ordered a large Italian sub. The sub arrived with no Italian dressing (which is what makes it an Italian sub.) I called back the restaurant (store #3013, order #504, 5/8/2019) and asked them to send the Italian dressing to correct their mistake. The man refused, saying he had no orders going in that direction. I then asked him to credit the cost of the sub ($7.99) on my next order, he refused. He offered to send some Italian dressing with my next order, how does that help me now? He then offered to send a free order of Howie bread with my next order, I said no, this doesn’t fix my $8 sub tonight. I asked for a manager, he said he already called a manager in this was all they were going to offer. Then he suggested they can come pick up the entire order from our house and we can never order from them again. (!!!) I was stunned. My order was delivered incorrectly and they would rather “fire” me as a customer than do what any other restaurant would do to keep a long standing customer. Their food is delicious (when properly prepared) but not so good that I have to tolerate this level of customer service if they screw up something as simple as omitting the one thing that makes a sub,...

If I could I wouldn't even give this place one star. My experience with them was beyond terrible. The North Fort Myers one to be specific. After a long day of work I ordered pizza through these guys because I wanted a relaxing night of going no where and doing absolutely nothing. Well as I went to order I realized I left my wallet in my work truck, but no worries because I knew my card number information off the top of my head. I called and ordered for delivery. Well after an hour and half wait!... my pizza arrives and the lady asks to see my ID AND my debit card. (To confirm I'm me and it's card) .. I explained to her that the only reason I ordered the pizza and tolerated the excessive wait time was because I was hungry and my wallet was left in my work vehicle back at my job. So I didn't wanna drive an hour back to work in traffic to get my wallet only to grocery shop. Well she just wouldn't accept that and ended up leaving. After my card was already charged for it!! $30 plus! What kind of place asks you for your License and Card after already paying and waiting an hour + wait. Never in my life have I been asked that! I ended up going through Dominos. They were much less of a wait, better pizza AND costs less. I will never order through Hungry...
