Sonic Drive In, Pine Island Rd., N. Ft. Myers, Fl., Here is my 2 cents on the food and chatter.
I went here on $1 hotdog day and thru the drive thru.
It was quick and uneventful for the drive thru.
The food...I do not know what high mucky muck decided that ketchup goes on a American Hotdog. I do know it had to be a 6 yo boy or a republican. yyeeech. Aside from having puree tomatoes it tasted just fine.
The chili dog... perfect for floridians tasty and very plain chili... No spices here,no heat.
LOTS LOTS of a salty dog . High blood pressure stay away.
Plus I come to realize that all hamburgers at these fast food joints taste the same. Cheap but passable.
Well never been here ever. It was half price foot long day. I must say the hot dog themselves are good not too salty. The toppings are up to you. I liked the New York dog saur/onions. Chili/cheese nooo not very tasty for chili. Chicago dog OK never had a original so no comparison the hell is ketchup doing on a hot dog, American style. NO REAL American who has study American history knows this. If you think that red stuff goes on a American hot dog then what FRACKING IDIOT/MORON you are period. Only children under 5 year old are allow this experimentation
update....Well gave this place a 2nd try. UPPED it a star. Cool day for a change so I sat at their patio. .....Small 4 tables....... NO walk up window or inside sit down. You order from a board and use your plastic to pay OR Cash when the server rollerskates your food to you.
It was a holiday so dogs were a buck each. I was impress with how GREAT the dogs looked. Pic ready! I like my chili dog a bit salty but that's me. The chili could be punched up more or extra hot sauce provide. But pretty & tasty. American dog good looks..but WHY OH WHY the catsup????? Fortunately onion take it away.
Over all a thumbs. Great service...
Read moreMy fries were lukewarm and I checked them immediately and they only filled the tiny medium sized container half full, but the onion rings were hot out of the fryer which was good, until I took a bite of them and found out that they have oil that’s not changed regularly or they are purchasing used oil from a neighboring carnival because they taste exactly like carnival food and smell like it too. They didn’t bother to give me the sauce that was supposed to be in the bag, but they gave me two bbq dips for six chicken strips, one for each order. They couldn’t possibly have any smaller ones either. They have employees who don’t smile, or even bother to greet customers, who by the way happen to be the source of their paycheck. So for a few cents shy of a hard earned twenty dollar bill, I received far less than good food and I was treated with apathy and I am being kind going that far to describe the atmosphere, and as a former restaurant owner myself, it was not an even trade for my money. If I owned that place I would walk over to the door and call an emergency meeting and make sure that every single employee was in attendance immediately. Those doors would remain closed until I could be proud to call myself the owner of a business that has the highest quality employees on staff that has a natural positive energy that the customer’s were more than happy to wait in line to be treated like gold. This place needs an overhaul from the owner down the porter. GET IT TOGETHER...
Read moreHad a order that was wrong the other evening, at that called in, the guy manager I spoke was little rude and not very pleasant, but anyway puts in the book for mistake, so go into today, store manager is and so is her boss, I ask to speak to one, get from her, very busy, don’t have time right now, so I say I’ll wait but it’s problem, so I wait 10mins or so,store manager comes out goes I really don’t have time for this, I’m dealing with a lot of Issues already, I go to try to tell the situation from the other night, she’s rolls her eyes and Tries to rub back inside as I make a comment on how I was treated, and wrong food, so how’s hang on I’ll check the book, comes back out 5mins or so later, just sticking her head out, asking how the food, I tell her how’s it should be correct, goes inside, comes out bit later hands a bag and still won’t listen or care how I was treated or anything then goes maybe this is on u and if this keeps happening maybe don’t come back, lady first off this is on ur employees not the customer when they can’t make the food correct ordered or even right consistency of quality food, next to be treated by a so called manager underneath u poorly is on ur employees, and third to tell a customer the bad order done wrong is the on customer and it’s happens a lot and maybe don’t come back then is definitely poor business aspects on you, you need the customer, not the customer needs...
