Al Goni Restaurant stands out as a prominent culinary destination in Cox's Bazar, offering a robust taste of authentic Bangladeshi cuisine, particularly catering to the demand for local flavors near the famous Sugandha Beach area. It's often highly recommended by visitors and locals alike for a satisfying, hearty meal. The restaurant’s strength lies in its diverse menu of traditional Bengali dishes. Patrons frequently highlight the Bhorta Platter as a must-try, offering a variety of mashed vegetable and fish preparations that are staples of Bengali home cooking. The Loitta Fry (Bombay duck) is another standout item, often praised for its fresh taste and crispy texture, although some reviews note it can occasionally be overcooked. Seafood, a natural expectation in Cox's Bazar, is well-represented with options like Rupchanda (Pomfret) Fry and various fish curries, including Koral (Coral Fish) Curry. Beyond the sea, Al Goni excels in traditional meat preparations. The Mezbani Beef and Beef Kala Bhuna are favorites, celebrated for their rich, deep flavors that capture the essence of Chittagong's regional cuisine. For those looking for a complete meal, the set menus are often lauded as a great value for money. The complimentary sweet plum pickle (boroi achar) is a small, delightful touch that many reviewers mention fondly. While the quality and quantity of food are generally praised, a few visitors have noted that the prices can be a bit on the higher side compared to other local eateries. Located near Sugandha Beach, Al Goni is often busy, a testament to its popularity. It can get quite crowded, especially during peak hours, sometimes necessitating a wait in a dedicated waiting area. The restaurant has undergone refurbishing, and the ambiance is generally described as clean, comfortable, and welcoming, with an appealing lighting arrangement. The calm atmosphere makes it suitable for families, and thoughtful touches like a separate breastfeeding corner have been appreciated. The staff and waiters are frequently commended for their friendly, polite, and attentive service. They contribute significantly to a pleasant dining experience, being quick to serve and generally hospitable. The provision of rose and lemon water for handwashing is a nice gesture that enhances the dining comfort. Al Goni Restaurant successfully delivers an authentic and flavorful Bangladeshi dining experience in Cox's Bazar. Despite the occasional critique about pricing or the inconsistency of certain fried dishes, its consistently good food quality, especially the local specialties, along with its excellent service and welcoming environment, solidify its reputation. It is a highly recommended spot for tourists eager to dive into the rich culinary traditions of the region. If you’re willing to navigate the crowds, Al Goni is a rewarding culinary stop on your beach vacation.

Al Goni Restaurant, located on Kolatoli Road near Hotel Sea Cox, is a hidden gem in Cox’s Bazar that truly impressed me with its quality and service. I visited the restaurant for lunch and had an outstanding experience from start to finish. The menu at Al Goni is diverse and offers something for everyone, with a strong focus on traditional Bengali flavors. Compared to many other restaurants in the area, the food here stands out in terms of taste, quality, and quantity. Every dish I tried was flavorful, freshly prepared, and presented with care. I ordered a variety of items to get a full sense of what the restaurant offers. These included the Bhorta Platter, Loitta Fry, Coral Fish Curry, Mejbani Beef, Sonali Chicken Curry, and Dal. Each dish had its own distinct taste and was cooked to perfection. The Bhorta Platter, which comes with a generous assortment of mashed vegetables and condiments, was more than enough for three people. It was the perfect starter to whet the appetite. The Coral Fish Curry was another highlight—the fish was incredibly fresh, tender, and soaked in a rich, aromatic gravy. The Mejbani Beef, a traditional dish known for its deep, spicy flavor, was cooked beautifully and was definitely worth the price. The Sonali Chicken Curry had a comforting homemade taste, and the lentils (Dal) were surprisingly delightful. I strongly recommend trying the Dal—simple yet bursting with flavor, it’s one of the best I’ve had in any restaurant. But the standout dish for me was the Loitta Fry. It was absolutely amazing. The outer layer was perfectly crispy, while the inside remained soft and juicy. It’s the kind of dish that leaves a lasting impression and makes you want to come back for more. The ambiance of the restaurant was calm and relaxing, making it a pleasant spot to enjoy a meal. The staff were attentive, polite, and provided excellent service, making sure everything was to our satisfaction. Their professionalism and hospitality added greatly to the overall experience. One area where Al Goni could improve is pricing. While the food is top-notch, the prices are slightly on the higher side for the area. If the management could adjust the pricing to be more affordable, it would make the restaurant even more appealing to a broader range of customers. Overall, Al Goni Restaurant is a must-visit when you're in Cox’s Bazar. Whether you're a local or a tourist, if you're looking for delicious, authentic food served in a comfortable setting with great service, this place should definitely be on your list. I’m already looking forward to my next visit!

This restaurant is over crowded Everytime you go there, which should be good. However, this is all because of their hype and not more. Their staffs lack decency and do not know professional etiquettes. They will be irritated with you, expecting you to order quick and not provide enough time to even ho through the menu. Stuffs are poorly organized. Order comes very late. Place is nice but customers go to eat, not to sleep. About the food taste, after we went there, 4/5 tables were highly complaining for the taste. So, we decided to take their special cashew nut Salad. It was bland. It wasn’t special. More like a simple roadside salad which costs 450 TK. The prices are absurd considering the portion size and taste

If you’re visiting Cox’s Bazar and looking for a dining experience that combines exceptional service, a welcoming atmosphere, and unbeatable value, Al Goni Restaurant is the place to be. Nestled in the heart of this coastal paradise, Al Goni has quickly earned a reputation as the best restaurant in town for December 2024—and for good reason.

The first thing that stands out about Al Goni is its remarkable service. From the moment you step in, the staff greets you with genuine warmth, making you feel like a valued guest rather than just another customer. Their attention to detail is unparalleled, and their ability to serve food in under five minutes is nothing short of miraculous. I have dined at numerous restaurants worldwide, but never have I experienced such swift and efficient service without compromising the quality of the meal.

Speaking of the food, Al Goni offers the most extensive menu in Cox’s Bazar. Whether you’re in the mood for fresh seafood, Bengali classics, or continental dishes, this restaurant has it all. The variety is unmatched, ensuring there’s something to satisfy every palate. Despite the diversity of options, the consistency in taste and presentation across all dishes is impressive. Even with such a broad menu, they manage to maintain high standards, which is a testament to their culinary expertise.

Value for money is where Al Goni truly shines. The portion sizes are generous, and the pricing is incredibly reasonable. In a town where dining out can often feel overpriced, Al Goni stands as a beacon of affordability without cutting corners on quality or service.

The atmosphere is another highlight. The indoor seating arrangements are thoughtfully designed, catering to families with toddlers and young children. They provide multiple tools and high chairs for kids, making it an ideal spot for family dining. The decor is modern yet cozy, creating an environment where you can relax and enjoy your meal.

Lastly, the staff deserves special praise. Their friendliness and professionalism are unmatched. They go above and beyond to accommodate every request, ensuring that every diner leaves with a smile.

In summary, Al Goni is not just a restaurant—it’s an experience. With its incredible service, diverse menu, family-friendly atmosphere, and unbeatable value for money, it has set a new standard for dining in Cox’s Bazar. If you’re in town, make sure to visit Al Goni. It’s hands down the best restaurant in December 2024, and it’s bound to leave...
