Dimple Restaurant & Bar — Restaurant in Dhaka Metropolitan

Dimple is an old bar. It was located in Uttara back in 2007-2008. Through time, with the introduction of more standard bars in Dhaka city, the role of Dimple became obsolete, as the new bars were better designed, had more variation of alcohol, had better prices and waiting services. Infact I would never recommended Dimple to anyone, because they are known for mixing your drink with cheap alcohol to make more profit. This happened to me twice, I complained to the manager but they were very reluctant about the whole situation and denied that it even happened and even insisted that I did not know alcohol enough to judge whether they have mixed my drink, I have been drinking for 13 years now, since the age of 14!! The only reason one can go to Dimple is to have single shots of Carew whiskey(locally made alcohol) which costs 100 tk per shot(Carew is sold in whole or half bottles in most bars). One of the worst bars in Dhaka city and If you live in the north part of the city I'd urge you to try the bars in Uttara. Don't go to Dimple if you care about you drinks! Update:-29.06.2018 I bought a bottle of carew whiskey and it was tuned(mixed with other substances), I think they open the caps with heat so the seal doesn't break and then mixes the drinks and then puts the cap back on.. Beware! Undistilled alcohol...

A place on pragati sharani near bashundhara to get your booze. The entry is a bit shady, but ask anyone from around where's it and they'll show you. But also they will ask you - ki lagbe or what do you want but don buy from them. Directly go to the bar and buy from there. The drinks prices are reasonable, they have limited options though. The waiters ask for tips proactively which might feel annoying at times. This place is opened until 10.30pm but I found it open...

Inexpensive local pub/bar where alcoholic beverages and light repast can be enjoyed at very reasonable prices. The ambience of the place is not great, but products and service are good. In the Bangladeshi context such bars are strictly a men only venue, and women are advised against visiting this place.
