Bistro Estelle — Restaurant in Antwerp

Decided on a whim to come here after it’s been recommended by friends. Estelle is a fairly new restaurant, but having eaten here, I reckon it has taken of quickly. I also understand why. The menu is limited to a few options but this shouldn’t bother you because there’s only two people working here: the chef and a maitre. We called and immediately had a spot reserved for us. The aperitif cocktails were nicely prepared and even though the place was full, service was quick and correct. The risotto was not your ordinary take on it, and I liked the butternut flavours. The game-stew was flavourful and not too heavy. The same goes for the prices. I feel like I’ll be dropping this will become a “I don’t want to cook tonight let’s go out”-kind of...

We had a wonderful experience here! Menu was Latin-American inspired, every dish was very well-made and had some sort of different spiciness, which I loved a lot! Even the brownie had a tiny bit of spiciness. Scallop seviche was amazing, so fresh it melted in your mouth! A small, homey, nicely decorated space and a pleasant owner, who is also a chef and a waiter, all at the same time. We spent over 3 hours here, enjoying the food and wine. Intervals between dishes are quite long, but it only adds up to the whole experience and makes you appreciate the food more. It is a fine dining experience for more than reasonable price. Top!...

What a fantastic surprise this was! It’s a cozy spot in Antwerp with fantastic food. It’s a set menu and everything was delicious. The service was impeccable, the chef came to all the tables with each course and explained the dishes.
