Cafe Shilling — Restaurant in Antwerp

I had to give a point so I give 1,otherwise it would be 0. Worst experience ever... We had to wait more than 2 hours for our food In the meantime,noone came to our table and gave us an explanation until the moment that we started to look around.(Already asked twice and they told us,it is coming) They were just serving other tables,almost all tables got their food except us. After 2,5 hours waiting,one waitress came to the table and said something got wrong with our order and there was a problem with the kitchen:)) strange isnt it ,while all other tables got their food . The owner was also rude,instead of excusing,he almost accused us and told us you didnt wait 2,5 hours but 1 hour ,he found it so normal that waiting1 hour for fish and chips and hamburgers.In a Mediterrean country,the restaurant would offer a free dessert,aperitive or a coctail instead of offering a coffie of 2 euros... Dont forget Mr….,client is the king. If you dont change your attitude,your place will not last long and you also need to teach your staff to respect clients and smile a bit,it is free:)). My fish and chips was a disaster,everything cold.The staff was also extremely unfriendly. And yes you offered me an Irish coffie after that we had to insist and it was well deserved:) The kitchen was also so dirty just under the toilettes..I dont recommend this...

Arrived 11.15h. Breakfast only until 11h, no flexibility. We ordered croissants and eggs. The croissants never arrived and the eggs were served with some cheese and ham on old toasted bread. Two lattes, €35…. We had better walked another 50 meters where we saw (after this bummer) a few very nice other breakfast places.

29/11 Just read the comment of the owner. Not correct at all. We were explicitly told that breakfast was NOT possible. Two croissants was, so also ordered these but the never arrived and were not charged. Bad service is one but denial...

Waitress was very rude, made a big mouth and fun of us even though we paid the bill, after she spilled mustard on my husbands only pants, being a tourist in his own country (lives in the Netherlands). We did not receive another portion of the mustard nor any compensation for if the stains would remain after the laundry. She simply mocked with the whole situation. Accidents can happen but one should not remain an ass. Go to the Bourla restaurant- same happened there by anccident and much more friendly...
