We tried Tartine New Orleans with poached eggs, salmon, and a rich hollandaise sauce that was to die for! Then, Lima gave us a burst of Peruvian flavor with pulled beef, avocado cream, baby corn, and cherry tomatoes, so delicious! 🇵🇪💥

For grilled options, Tokyo with miso and tuna, topped with wasabi mayo, added the perfect spicy kick. And Acapulco with chicken, chorizo, and melted cheese? An absolute must-try! 🧀🔥

This place was supposed to participatie in the special program of Antwerp to stimulate local businesses, called Ucoins. This place is with all its details on the respective website . YET when you want to pay... they don't accept this digital currency. The waitress said they heard of more people wanted to play there that wat.. .. so why are they still on the ucoins website? Fraudulent practice and misleading customers. Not at all trustworthy. It is their responsibity! Don't fall in the trap of the usual decline of responsibility... we are filing a complaint against this place with the city of Antwerp! ...

Voor Tartine had ik hoge verwachtingen, maar ik snap niet dat deze spot een 4,2 heeft tussen al het leuks in Antwerpen. Vandaag gingen we voor lunch.

Bij binnenkomst hadden we meteen een tafel, maar er moest lang gewacht worden op het eerste contact. Genoeg tijd om eens even rond te koekeloeren. Het tijdloze meubilair bevat veel hout. Het bij elkaar geraapte meubilair vormde geen eenheid maar zag er leuk uit. Door de bijéén getimmerde bar (krukken) leek het concept erg op een pop-up. Wat me wel opviel was de foto's aan de muur, niet zo maar foto's maar een vibe van zowel strand cultuur als die van de derde wereld landen. Dit deed ons vermoede dat deze zaak misschien hele goede intenties had. Maar helaas was de bediening te druk om ze met dat soort vragen "lastig te vallen".

We bestelde beide een jus en ik ging voor een koffie. Na ons brein gestort te hebben over wat toch een tartine was en wat een smos of hesp?(we denken een broodje gezond en ham) Kwamen we tot een besluit van deze toch moeilijk omschreven kaart. Zij een gegrilde tartine met zalm, dit was echter een leeggelopen broodje en zo geplet als een croque kwam hij aan tafel. Ik had de köfte, misschien niet moeten doen maar ik hou van een uitdaging. Deze kwamen op 2 lekkere sneeen bruin brood, met op beide borden een lekker schaaltje couscous. De veel te droge lams balletjes die tussen de sla lagen, kreeg ik bijna niet weg en al snel vroegen we om wat kraanwater. Deze moest lang op zich wachten en toen we voor de tweede keer vroegen waar hij bleef kregen we een flesje spa water. Hier hadden we niet om gevraagd. Dus deze ging weer terug. Tot onze groote verbazing stond deze wel op onze bon en hier dan ook voor betaald.

Al met al een misschien wel leuk concept maar slecht uitgevoerd, ons zie je niet meer.
