Casa Mia Antwerp 🇮🇹 — Restaurant in Antwerp

My wife and I found Casa Mia while out looking for dinner on our last night in Antwerp. What a find! The staff were so welcoming and the food excellent. I knew right away that the chef was proud of the food he created by his artistic addition. My spaghetti Bolognese was some of the best I have had in or out of Italy. Our waitress, who we think was one of the owners and whose name we kicked ourselves for not getting, took extra time to explain the menu items and make sure we were taken care of. My wife was not hungry and decided to just order bruschetta. She couldn't eat it all because there was so much and fortunately I had to help her out. For dessert I had the chocolate mousse. Casa Mia is a newer restaurant but with the service and food it should be around for a long time. Our only regret is that we didn't find it earlier so we could have gone there more than once. Looking at other reviews this place is disturbingly dishonest and terrible, making me wonder if any of the good reviews left are fake or paid for, because this place absolutely does not deserve the rating it has. From violating privacy laws of taking pictures of people and posting it on social media to charging for things people didnt order, or claiming it comes with the meal.

From my own experience I dont see the point of a happy friday deal saying all pasta is 10ish euro but then serving spaghetti bolognese when I clearly asked for something else. But then again, judging the reviews it is not surprising to get scammed here. Maybe just state that on fridays, pasta bolognese are discounted. We had been turned away from two restaurants at around 2115 and were looking for somewhere for a quiet meal, so we were extremely grateful to have a warm welcome at Casa Mia.

All the staff at the restaurant got to work immediately and we had a nice meal for two along with a drink and desert each.
