Terrible service !! Arrogant and pretentious . When I politely asked to cancel my coffee ☕️order and the machine was not a proper coffee machine a 20something arrogant waiter told me “ you have what we give you . You have no right to change anything - this is our restaurant “ - after I mentioned .. well I paying so I have some rights, no? He responded “ I am not your slave “ 😱😱😱😱 I was shocked with the aggression for little to no reason … the escalation was tremendous ! But started wjen we arrived - sorry we didn’t book “ and one of the waiters said in a very rigid , no joking way “WHY NOT?” … to what I replied .. well.. sorry , I am on holiday and was just passing outside “ - he didn’t look happy after after was no longer nice…

Food is very basic Belgium .. dry chips with cheap mayo and basic meat dishes full of cream ..

The worst service I have ever had in my life. We came to the place on Saturday evening and ordered drinks without food, because we didn’t intend to stay for long and there were free tables in restaurant indeed.

And when we ordered drinks, the waiter asked if we want some food, and when we replied that no, she was so shocked! She said “we don’t serve people with only drinks”. Well, then mention it at least when we come and take a seat, or much better in google maps!After, the waiter started to take the cutlery really fast, and after that took off the tablecloth! When I asked “why is it necessary?”, she said: “so that you don’t make it dirty”🤔

The food was good and well prepared. The staff was friendly. However there were some inconsistencies: things on the menu were outrageously overpriced, in particular the starters - you can't pay 18 to 20 euro for 2 shrimp croquettes and similar dishes. Certainly not when you have salt and pepper on the table with dirty grinders made of plastic and coming from a hard discount. The wine card was also overpriced, with bottles of decent but not top wine above 40 euros. The service was slow despite the fact that the staff was efficient, just because they didn't have enough people. What do I pay those prices for then. They have the potential but they must rethink...
