Here's what happened:
After a long and tiring day of performing at a music festival, our group of 15 was looking forward to a nice Indian meal to unwind. Unfortunately, this restaurant turned out to be a disappointing choice.
We arrived in two groups—10 of us who were quite hungry, and the rest who were not as famished but still wanted to enjoy a meal together. The first group placed an order, but immediately we were faced with a strange demand: the waiter, who appeared to be the owner, insisted that everyone had to order at least one dish and a drink, minimum. While we were hungry and didn't argue too much, this seemed like an unnecessary imposition, especially since we were a large group already placing a significant order.
To make matters worse, the coffee and tea we ordered were, without exaggeration, the worst we've ever had. They were barely drinkable, and it felt like we were being served something that wasn’t fresh at all.
When the second group arrived, some of them were not as hungry but still wanted to enjoy something light. The same waiter started aggressively demanding that everyone must order a dish, regardless of their appetite. His attitude became quite unwelcoming, essentially telling us we were free to leave if we didn't comply. This pushy and hostile behavior really soured the experience for us.
Overall, while we were excited for a relaxing meal, the service was rude, the beverages were terrible, and the inflexibility made us feel unwelcome. It's safe to say we won’t be returning or recommending this...
Read moreVery tasty and flavourful indian cuisine served here. I think the best in Antwerpen (or what I have tasted so far). The butter chicken is a bit on the sweeter side but the flavours are perfection. You can taste the cardemom, cumin, all the spices etc.
The naan (especially the garlic naan) is to die for. 🤤 It's ever so slightly crisp and buttered. I love that you can opt for naan with your dishes instead of just rice. They also serve enough naan if you choose naan but we ordered extra because we couldn't resist. The coconut lassi was also very tasty. The briyani was good too, and was served with some raita. Perhaps the only thing I would add is that the briyani needed just a bit more salt.
Honestly, I have nothing to complain about. Service was good and friendly. Dishes were served relatively quick. Best of all? For the location (close to Grote Markt and the Schelde) and the quality of the food, the dishes are priced very reasonably.
Love it. Everything was top. 10/10 would...
