Nestled in the heart of the old town, Flavours of India stands as a beacon of culinary excellence, offering an array of dishes that are as vibrant and diverse as India itself. The restaurant's ambiance transports diners to a world where each bite is a symphony of flavors, meticulously crafted to delight the senses. The menu, a testament to the rich tapestry of Indian cuisine, presents a selection of dishes that cater to both traditional and modern palates. Each dish is a celebration of the country's regional diversity, prepared with the utmost care and presented with an elegance that complements the warm and inviting atmosphere of the establishment.

The staff at Flavours of India are the custodians of hospitality, guiding guests through the menu with expertise and courtesy. Their knowledge of the cuisine adds a personal touch to the dining experience, making each visit memorable. While the service is generally commendable, there are moments when the attentiveness of the staff could be heightened to match the establishment's high standards. A smile, often the simplest form of warmth, was occasionally missed but did not detract significantly from the overall experience.

In conclusion, Flavours of India is a gem that offers an authentic taste of India's rich culinary heritage. It is a place where the food speaks for itself, and the atmosphere complements the dining experience beautifully. While there is always room for improvement, particularly in the realm of service, the restaurant remains a must-visit for those seeking to indulge in the true flavors of India. It is a testament to the fact that good food, served in a pleasant environment, has the power to create lasting memories and bring people together. Flavours of India is indeed a celebration of taste, tradition, and the timeless art of...

TLDR: If you want enjoy your time with friends and family over good food and conversation, any other restaurant in Antwerp would be better. Thanks to the worst service this restaurant offers :)

Here's what happened:

After a long and tiring day of performing at a music festival, our group of 15 was looking forward to a nice Indian meal to unwind. Unfortunately, this restaurant turned out to be a disappointing choice.

We arrived in two groups—10 of us who were quite hungry, and the rest who were not as famished but still wanted to enjoy a meal together. The first group placed an order, but immediately we were faced with a strange demand: the waiter, who appeared to be the owner, insisted that everyone had to order at least one dish and a drink, minimum. While we were hungry and didn't argue too much, this seemed like an unnecessary imposition, especially since we were a large group already placing a significant order.

To make matters worse, the coffee and tea we ordered were, without exaggeration, the worst we've ever had. They were barely drinkable, and it felt like we were being served something that wasn’t fresh at all.

When the second group arrived, some of them were not as hungry but still wanted to enjoy something light. The same waiter started aggressively demanding that everyone must order a dish, regardless of their appetite. His attitude became quite unwelcoming, essentially telling us we were free to leave if we didn't comply. This pushy and hostile behavior really soured the experience for us.

Overall, while we were excited for a relaxing meal, the service was rude, the beverages were terrible, and the inflexibility made us feel unwelcome. It's safe to say we won’t be returning or recommending this...

Very tasty and flavourful indian cuisine served here. I think the best in Antwerpen (or what I have tasted so far). The butter chicken is a bit on the sweeter side but the flavours are perfection. You can taste the cardemom, cumin, all the spices etc.

The naan (especially the garlic naan) is to die for. 🤤 It's ever so slightly crisp and buttered. I love that you can opt for naan with your dishes instead of just rice. They also serve enough naan if you choose naan but we ordered extra because we couldn't resist. The coconut lassi was also very tasty. The briyani was good too, and was served with some raita. Perhaps the only thing I would add is that the briyani needed just a bit more salt.

Honestly, I have nothing to complain about. Service was good and friendly. Dishes were served relatively quick. Best of all? For the location (close to Grote Markt and the Schelde) and the quality of the food, the dishes are priced very reasonably.

Love it. Everything was top. 10/10 would...

Food? Average at best. Drinks? Even worse. Service? The absolute worst. This restaurant has the most ridiculous 'rule': EVERYONE at the table must order a drink, an appetizer, and a main dish (like a curry for yourself). If you don’t comply, you’re denied service. I’m not kidding. We were a large group of friends and family who visited this place on Sunday for dinner. We were hungry and asked for food directly. The waiter (who also happens to be the owner) insisted we order a compulsory drink each. Weird ‘rule’ for an Indian restaurant, but fine, we complied. Then came another absurd ‘rule’ - each table of 4 must order at least 3 Indian curries. This is pure GREED. When we tried to argue, the waiter/owner threatened to deny service, claiming we would just ‘occupy tables’ for a 10-15 euro per person order. In the end, we paid for the drinks and starters we consumed and left. Unbelievable. Edit: Please read the owner's entitled, racist comment below :). Added a screenshot too.

Flavours of India was not the best Indian dining experience. The person who took our order was sounding very rude and had an unwelcoming gesture. The paneer dish we ordered seemed to be stale. The dal we ordered was no way near the authentic dal that India offers. Even though this restaurant is in the midst of city centre, no doubt it was not that occupied. I am sad that it doesn’t give the right picture of Indian cuisine to the world. Not recommended! From food and service perspective. Good part was the place is clean and the Nan was really good quality.
