Kingribs Berchem — Restaurant in Antwerp

First, let me get this off my chest: It was cold inside, very very cold. OK, it was cold OUTside but that shouldn't be a reason. We had our jackets on. Plus, the place was kind of messy - not dirty, but definitely not tidy. The staff was friendly enough though.

The food, then. My wife had a burger, the kids and I had ribs. The burger was OK ('shrug'), the ribs were pretty tender but the "marinade" (read: sauce) was waaaaaaaaay too sweet (and I did not have the sweet version). The fries were OK and the coleslaw a bit tasteless.

So, we come to the price. I'm not openly using expletives but this was far too expensive. For above meal, we paid about 70 EUR and that was definitely not worth the money. It looks to me they try hard, and for say 20 EUR less I would not have complained with a single word, but this was just too much.

Wow this place sells the best burgers and ribs i think ive tried in all of Belgium. Im from Australia and did notice the reviews are not truly reflective of the quality and taste, freshness, mind you the portions where very Generous. The guys at this place are pumping out Top quality food. The reviews are more about waiting times for Deliveries. Not sure if they have improved their delivery service but we ate at the store itself. Ignore the comments from people who had bad takeaway experiences; this place is an underrated gem! We ordered a bunch of fried chicken strips and ribs with the smokey BBQ sauce and were extremely delighted with; the surprisingly excellent flavor, the speed at which the food was prepared for us and the ingredient quality and presentation. Owners and staff were super friendly and actually greeted customers as far as I could tell (rare in Belgium!).
