I had a very disappointing experience at this sushi restaurant, and I would not recommend it to anyone. I ordered a set from the menu, which included miso soup, maki royal, and a salad. The menu clearly stated that the set included 16 pieces of maki, labeled only as “maki royal,” with no additional information about the ingredients.
On a different page of the menu, I found the detailed description of maki royal—salmon and avocado, which suited my taste. When my order arrived, I received 8 pieces of maki royal with salmon and avocado and 8 pieces of maki with imitation crab sticks, flying fish roe, and nori. I was shocked, as I never ordered anything with crab sticks and would not have chosen this option.
When I raised the issue with the waiter, he casually stated that I should have asked the staff about the contents of the set. I firmly believe it’s the restaurant’s responsibility to provide accurate and detailed information in the menu, not the customer’s job to interrogate the staff about what they’re actually ordering. The menu clearly mentioned “maki royal,” and nowhere did it indicate that the set included anything other than salmon and avocado. This is misleading and unprofessional.
This experience felt like a deliberate attempt to mislead customers. If the set includes different types of maki, it should be explicitly mentioned in the menu—something as simple as “8 pieces of maki royal with salmon and avocado and 8 pieces of maki with imitation crab sticks.”
Due to this unacceptable practice, I left the crab stick maki uneaten. The lack of transparency and the dismissive response from the waiter made it clear that this restaurant does not value honesty or customer satisfaction. I would strongly advise others to avoid this place to prevent being misled in a similar manner.
To make matters worse, the restaurant made no effort to resolve the situation. They simply apologized repeatedly, took full payment for the set, and offered no compensation or solution whatsoever. This kind of dismissive and careless attitude toward customers is...
Read moreThis is by far our favourite sushi place in Antwerp! We always let the chef surprise us; you'll get incredible sushi that's not even listed! The quality of the sushi (especially salmon) is really high and the flavours blend in beautifuly together. Looking from the outside, you would hesitate to go in. But believe me, the food itself is such a surprise and the owner and his wife are extremely kind! This is a real hidden jewel in Antwerp, not even mentioned on...
Read moreI can absolutely recommend this small family run sushi restaurant.
We visited with 4 adults and 2 children. As we did not know exactly what to order, we asked for a mix with max. price. The dinner was superb, with sushi, tempura, cold and fried version's as well as some noodles and chicken skewers. The ingredients were very fresh, the food freshly made and the taste perfect. We simply got an awful lot of quality...
