Refill — Restaurant in Antwerp

As we walked nearby, the hilarious decoration outside (fitting the logo, lol) caught our eyes. When we entered, we were warmly welcomed with wide smiles. The resturant is lovingly decorated, we recomend it for romantic dates and family gatherings. The food was wonderful, the host was very patient and helpful, he walked us through the menu, translating each dish patiently with a warm smile. He recomended for us very delicious Belgian traditional dishes: pork cheeks in beer sauce and a bird, guineafowl, in rich creamy mushroom sauce dish which also was very tasty. The dishes included fries, salad, and delicious potato croquettes. (The host helped us and moved both stews from the original plates to table's center for our conveniece, for we were sharing those dishes). This great little restaurant is located just off the main market square. It was a welcome reprieve from the crowded downtown area. The restaurant space is cozy and uniquely decorated. We received a very warm welcome upon arrival. The gentleman who helped us was very kind. We ordered two meals but the same dish. We had the venison stew and it was fantastic. The stew was served with a side of vegetables and fries. The vegetables were delicious and the fries were the best I have ever had. We came to this place quite randomly while looking for a restaurant that serves stoofvlees but also vegetarian dishes. And we had a really amazing experience! The service was very welcoming and the food was great. Baked Camembert was exceptional and the bread it served with was delicious on its own. The main courses were top too.
