Witzli-Poetzli — Restaurant in Antwerp

Litteraly one of the worst bars in Antwerp. We were there once and you’ll see me never again. The music is way too loud too have any descent conversation. When I asked politely to turn it down a little the bartender, you know who you are, just eyerolled at me and turned the volume up a notch(!) Was this really necessary? Also the prices are way too high and no service outside. the toilets just stink. And the crowd is mainly blasé wanna be intellectual art students. Don’t go there! Afterwards we went to Barret at Melkmarkt, which was way better. Really recommend this place with good cocktails, good music and...

We were met by the most unpolite waiters yesterday night. Mean and sassy and disrespectful. We asked for a London mule and the answer was “Where did you See that on the menu?”, as they only had moscow mules. The cocktails were good But if being there is a burden for the employees no need to go there. What a pity Because the place seems great and has a beautiful location. Really Not a question of cultural shock, yet a result of pure humiliation...

Location: Witzli-Poetzli is located in a super central aerea, next to the cathedral! It’s cozy, informal, out of time I would say :) not so many tables available, but it’s still fine!

Food and drink: the beverages are good and tasty, though not expensive compared to the Belgian standards! Coffees are being served with a slice of speculoos, which makes the break even tastier :)
