Bocca — Restaurant in Bruges

Pasta bar for a quick bite to eat over lunch.

Friendly staff and fast service make this the ideal lunch time pasta bar. The pasta is not the best you have ever eaten but it certainly isn't the worst either. It is good for the price, even though it is not the cheapest pasta bar in the world (or Bruges for that matter). The service, taste and location make it a very popular restaurant, particularly for students, which means that there will be a long line during the peak hours (between 12h and 14h). Bocca is mostly aimed at take away. Most costumers will buy a little bucket of pasta to eat while roaming around Bruges. It is however possible to eat inside the restaurant. Don't expect a romantic spot however as the inside of the restaurant only has one long table where everyone sits at. This is great for social contact but less so...

Very impressive cheap meal! For 7.20€! You can get a delicious medium sized pasta (which is more food than you need) covered with grated cheese. This is an amazing value for city centre Bruges.

Staff are very nice and they cook your pasta fresh after you order it. I expected to see buckets of cold, pre-cooked pasta in containers, but they cooked my pasta immediately after I ordered it. The sauces, however, are pre-cooked but still taste great (the sauces are NOT overcooked).

My only complaint is that the staff don't mix the sauce evenly on the pasta, so about 1/3 of my pasta had very little sauce. I could have mixed the sauce, but I didn't realise that the first bit of pasta I ate had a lot more sauce than the other side.

I visited the restaurant "Ustata" and was extremely impressed! The service was outstanding – the staff is friendly, attentive, and welcoming. The prices are very affordable, making it a great choice for any occasion. The menu is incredibly diverse, especially if you're a fan of pasta – they offer a wide variety of pasta types and sauces, so everyone can find something to their taste. The food is fresh, delicious, and prepared with great attention to detail. I will definitely visit again and highly recommend this place...
