I’ve visited this rooftop bar several times for their cocktails and mocktails, which are always excellent. The vibe is charming, and the view is stunning. However, this time we decided to try the food, and it was a major disappointment The Pinsa Regina tasted like a frozen pizza. The dough, particularly the bottom, was undercooked-moist and almost watery. The Brugge oud cheese balls were clearly frozen and lacked flavor . The chicken karaage was inconsistent :/ some pieces were chewy, while others were overcooked. The most disappointing dish was the Macedonian minced beef (qebapa); it was so tough that even cutting it with a knife was a struggle. I have to say apart from the actual venue overlooking the church and a little of the surrounding Bruges, we were disappointed, the guy serving seemed too focused on enjoying a smoke than serving and the drinks were disappointing, I’d go as far to say they are not serving what is advertised, aperol spritz, all aperol and spritz and no Prosecco as it was VERY watery with no taste of anything but Aperol and my drink/cocktail was very ‘one sided’
Shame as this had REAL potential, but now seems to be another ‘tourist trap’. Would not recommend as much as some other...
