1. Modify menu wording . It should be clear for the entrance that it s either soup or either mini cheese croquette . Otherwise it s deceiving . People make choices based on what they see. It s visible for main dish that there is multiple choices and you may select one of them only. Not clear for entree. One slice of tomato for the cheese mini croquette. Generous . 2. Be generous for the beef stew. I got 4 mini pieces. Deceiving. Much more in the picture . Fries overcooked. 🍟 3. Do not recommend the client to pay 1000 from the 1500 fine you could get if you moved the table over the sun. Could be seen as a potential scam. 4. Do not threaten to call the police just because I asked for your soup which is included in the menu with the cheese croquette. 5. Your staff should understand English. I asked for the soup twice. 6. Waiting time for cheese croquette 13 min. Not acceptable. 7. Do not.name and shame and speak loudly with every customer that I asked for the soup 🍲. This is like public intimidating. And it s illegal. 8. Yes it was too cold inside and I moved inside. It was about to close anyway . 9. Don t threaten to impose me 10 euros for sitting inside. 10. I wanted to give you 15 euros of tips for your audacity and high ego . You declined it means you know it s not a way to treat customers. 11. Keep your desert I am glad I left before ordering it even if it s included. 12. I hope you manage your 9 other restaurants better.

Definitely coming back again. Food: Fantastic food. The front of the restaurant may not stand out but its food does. Probably best fish soup I’ve had. Bread perfectly baked. Moules were huge. Portions in general very generous. Partner ordered stew (looked rich and decent portion) and frogs’ legs, actually very tasty and nice to have an option to try this dish. Staff: Our waiter was attentive and lovely. Even when a huge group booking arrived we weren’t having to wait for service. We felt very welcome and he spoke great English. Atmosphere: options to sit outside on the street, inside or I think there was a little back garden too. We sat outside and watched the world go by. Street is a slightly quieter one, off of a main area so not too loud but still lively.

Waiter was extremely rude. Food took almost an hour for two very basic dishes and the restaurant wasn’t even half full. The croque Madame was not a croque madame- see photos. The ham was completely cold in the middle and the egg was overcooked. The waiter told me that I should realise I was in Belgium and not France. He took it very personally, though to be honest that might be to do with something else as when we arrived he kept talking about cocaine and getting high. Avoid this place - awful in every way.

RUN dont walk - A really great find stumbled across this restaurant completely by chance. We were welcomed in, somewhat stunned by the advertised price of the set menu a rare find in comparison to other places we looked at on our first night in Burges. I wasn't expecting a great standard of food but after a long day travelling with my companions 85 year old and a 16 year old a reasonably priced menu was a very grateful for any restaurant that was still open. We need not been concerned the quality and taste of the food was excellent. The tomato soup was delicious accompanied by dinner rolls and we loved our flemish stew and the fish too. The obiligatory fritws with mayonaise were also served the portion sizes for the stew and fish with fresh side salad were also generous. The staff were extremely friendly and very attentive. Three courses and wine for less...

Sometimes you just decide to go to a place without checking anything, no reviews, no informations...this is what we did with this place and, unfortunately, we were very unlucky. We got into the place at 13.15, the waiter took our order at 13.25, food arrived at 14.20: almost one hour. I think that you should always let the customer know if there is some problem and if, because of that, there might be some difficulty to serve you within a reasonable amount of time (which I consider, in a restaurant, within 30 minutes from the order). Additionally, we ordered "easy food" (salade, omelette, toast, soup) with the idea and hope to have a quick lunch and continue to explore the city, but, unfortunately, this wasn't the case. Last but not least, the food, once arrived, was merely edible and the bill was over 100 euros. Honestly, it was a big mistake...
