I'm writing this review with regret. On a beautiful Christmas day while exploring wonderful Bruges, we got hungry and searched for a place to eat. We were two families with 19-month-old babies. Seeing the high rating of this restaurant, we decided to go there. Upon arrival, we found it to be a small and charming place. Emphasizing that we were 4 adults and 2 babies, we asked about their accommodations. They welcomed us inside. My wife and friends entered with their babies. I strolled with our child and then joined them. When I entered, the lady with short hair seemed to be grumpily speaking in their own language. At first, I didn't understand. Then another lady asked if we would definitely sit. I said yes. Meanwhile, our friends had gone to the restroom to change their babies. Our child wasn't making much noise, but our friends' baby had cried loudly before I entered; I was unaware. Inside was calm and beautiful. At that moment, the short-haired woman continued speaking in their language. To avoid causing any discomfort, I decided to leave. However, I didn't want to leave without ordering something since we used their tables. It wouldn't be right. At least, I wanted to order something to take away. Just as I was about to ask if take away was available, the woman attending to us said in English, without letting me finish my sentence, 'I have to work , and I can't work under these conditions.' They politely kicked us out of the restaurant. I understand you may have been uncomfortable. I, too, wanted to convey that, considering this, we were going to stand up so as not to cause any discomfort. But the solution is simple. Before welcoming families with babies, be aware that they have babies who might cry. If you don't want them, politely decline, and don't speak about them in an unknown language in front of everyone. People aren't foolish. In summary, it's a cozy place, but not suitable for young families with babies. We would have liked to try their food, but I guess it won't be possible anymore.

This charming cafe is a hidden gem, located just off the main path. It might be easy to miss but it would be a shame - its cosy atmosphere and homely feel make it a perfect escape from the tourist crowds. The lady who appeared to run it was so warm and welcoming, and her dog too! The food is delicious and priced reasonably. I had soup of the day which was carrot and ginger, served with soft fresh bread. The waffle with cream was amazingly light - highly recommend getting one!

It's a really nice small place, with a lot of warmth, a very friendly couple of ladies helping you choose among the great options. The waffle is amazing, not very sweet but very tasty, highly recommended with fresh fruit and wiped cream. A nice omelette with soup will make a perfect meal. They could have a great brunch if they extended their breakfast hours past noon. The only thing missing is dairy free options for the coffee and chocolate.

We came on a Tuesday morning, before 9:30, and waited for it to open. By 9:40 there was still not even a hint of activity for this restaurant, but all other shops on the street were opening. There was no sign on the restaurant indicating they would not be open that day. In fact, there was a sign in the window that said they would open at 9:30. The most recent review at that time was posted 3 days prior, suggesting the place was open and operating this season. There is no listed phone number, no website, no way to contact this restaurant. We ended up leaving to eat elsewhere. It was...

We wanted to eat here because it came high in our searches. Though, we ended up leaving after 30 minutes. The ladies from the restaurant seem to be overwhelmed. We had to ask for a menu and after they finally took our order, ten minutes later we didn’t even got the tea that I ordered. I asked if she had started to prepare our sandwiches and she answered a clear “no”. Thus, we decided to leave. If you have plenty of time in Bruges and don’t mind waiting one hour for a sandwich then it might be...
